Ampich-Anne: it's a cultural specificity that I only feign to understand. Trallyr are wrapped in social duty at birth. Plumtrr took great losses to leave Arkriir. Min: Oh? What'd he lose?

Ampich-Anne: Plumtrr fled from what human would call an "arranged marriage", but the term doesn't quite fit. He has both disrespected those involved and missed out on his chance to enter that sect of society.

His high level of intelligence got him far. His personal judgement halted him.

We have classes too, in Rinam, even if most people will deny it. Our classes are based on age. The older you are, the higher your class. Except Betas, they're the bottom class despite being the third oldest Rinamian class.

Ampich-Anne: In Trallyr society, the lightness of one's feathers has become associated with status and rank. Out of curiosity, I have developed three separate hypothesis for why such a trite trait is used. But that is irrelevant. Why are Betas lower in class? Does 'beta' refer to an unfinished form, as on earth?

They were pawns, designed to be directed by the Alphas and the Progenitors. They were also designed to be incorruptible. No virus could touch them. No hacker could hack them. If anything managed to get through the system's checks would catch it, fix it, and learn to fight the new technique. Great if you want an unstoppable force. Bad if it needs updates.

Ampich-Anne interesting. Do you normally update individuals of your kind like one would update software?

Most of us are self-updating, continuously learning from our experiences.

Ampich-Anne: Unlikely. I probably returned to his temporary residence to sit down. This gravity puts strain on his legs.
