This is so upsetting. I'm so sorry. I was away when the NT came back last month, but when I found out that not only was there a new issue, but that you were the one who was still running it, it seriously made my day and more. I don't know if I trust myself to do anything here but ramble and blather about how much I love the NT and all the incredible work that you've put into it and how much it has meant to me, but I think the textwall and note I wrote for my Issue 600 comic might be slightly more eloquent? I always wondered how much of that textwall you were actually able to read, because although it was written in part for a lot of readers I was grateful towards, it was also written in very large part for you, Droplet. Thank you so, so much for everything you've done, and all the best to you and your family going forward! Please stay awesome!! <3

Very sad news, Droplet. You should know (though I suspect you already do) that the acceptances you have sent out over the years have without a doubt changed the lives of more people than we can count. You'll be sorely missed

Dear Droplet, I'm so sorry that this happened to you. While this is a sad end to something amazing, I really hope that it can also be a new beginning for you and open the way for plenty of good things to come into your life. I hope that you can spend more time with your baby and that everything will work out for the best for both of you. I will keep you in my thoughts as I continue to write in the future and strive to improve, and I will do my best just as I did when submitting my pieces to you, who first made me realise that I was capable of writing something decent. Thank you for starting me on my journey. Keep being brilliant. May the blessing of the almighty Weewoo shine upon you always.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been laid off. You will be missed. I hope you find a job you love as much as the one you had running the Neopian Times.

Droplet, I am so sorry that they are letting you go. I hope you know how many people have been affected by your work on the NT, and I appreciate all the time and energy you put into something that really made up a huge chunk of who I am as a person today. We're going to miss you. Good luck with your new baby, and I hope you find something bigger and better in the future!

Too late to add it to the Ode, it doesn't really fit, per se, but there's this vigil of sorts going on called "Do It For Droplet" where people are Customising with a Soaked By Gormball foreground in memory of Droplet serving with all that distinction. Because it has lots of droplets in it, and it's relatively cheap.
Not anymore it's not cheap. Not as relatively, anyway. This morning it was around the 2k mark. Now it's around the 50k mark. I didn't slip a zero in, that's the inflation it's received.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, Droplet. I hate that they waited just long enough for you to start things back up. That just seems really underhanded to me. I'm a latecomer to the forum and to the NT writers/authors, but that doesn't mean it you didn't impact me. *sigh* I just really don't know what to say, except that you will be MISSED, the NT won't be the same without you, and I will be praying for you.

I'm sooooooooooooo sad about this terrible news. T_T
Droplet, I wish you the best always and forever. Thank you for everything you've done for all of us. Thank you for all the time you've put into the Neopian Times! We love you sooo much.

I hope everything turns out well for you, Droplet! =)
I haven't written for the N.T. in a while, but you were an awesome editor, and thanks for publishing so many of my silly stories, and those of all these other forumers!
Sad to see you go, but best of luck in your future ventures.

Droplet, I'm really sorry to hear this. I thought you were safe so to find out that you've been laid off. You were an excellent editor and even as somebody who the NT does not mean as much too (I haven't had a piece published in years, aha. ^^;; ) I still thank you for doing this job and making us all happy. You will be sorely missed.

I created an account on here just to be able to say thank you to you Droplet. While I only ever entered one comic in the NT (the other pending currently) I have been an avid reader for the last 13 years. I really loved the NT and loved you as editor. I really do wish you all the best for you and your family.

Well, this is a bit late, but... thank you, Droplet, for your time and tireless effort, and for your dedication to the Neopian Times, especially during this rough transitional period. Thank you for tolerating my ridiculous novel-length submissions and silly ramblings about Grundos and Werelupes. I always got so much of a thrill seeing those acceptance letters, knowing they meant that you felt my stuff was good enough for the Times. I hope you enjoyed reading them, and the work of everyone else who has made Times writing their passion.
I'm not really sure what else to say except that I hope all is going well with the baby, and that you will find a place where your wonderful personality and skills will be appreciated for years to come.

I just don't know what I'm feeling right now. I've been on a bit of a hiatus since earlier this year to focus on school and such, but I logged on today since I finally have a decent amount of time. I'm just...so, so, sorry, Droplet. The fact that you, not only a stellar, well-loved editor, but a new mother (congratulations, by the way ), got laid off just like that. But most of all I wanted to thank you for being such an inspiring person. The sheer amount of dedication you put into the Neopian Times was unmatched by basically anything I'd ever seen from a person. You changed a lot of lives for the better during your time as editor, Droplet. I can assure you of that. I hope your future brings you and your new family happiness, and that you continue to be the amazing person we have all come to know and love.
