Operator: 9-1-1, what is the nature and location of your emergency?

Caller: Yeah, I'm at my apartment-- 506 Gargoyle Lane, Splatterboard-- anyway. I'm looking out my window, and there's... something just went down and I don't even know but-- the police, you gotta send the police.

Operator: What do you mean 'something just went down'? What's happening, ma'am?

Caller: Well somebody, I guess-- it's hard to see because it's so dark but somebody- they tried to shoot this... other person but then... a third person came out and they jumped in front of the target and well, the target ran off and there was a fight and-- oh hell, what's that? There's somebody else on the scene, they look like... a doctor? Or... I... what's even...

Operator: Ma'am, you're saying there's been a shooting?

Caller: Yeah, but more than that I... hey, the new person is crouching over the... is that the shooter or the... I can't even tell-- but hey! They're running off! I should... I should go follow them, before they get away, that's very wrong to run off from the scene of a crime--

Operator: No, ma'am, please stay in your apartment; don't insert yourself in danger--

Caller: No, no, it's fine, I have a bulletproof vest-- and a blowtorch, and--

Operator: Ma'am! What's your name?

Caller: Anna but-- well, that's irrelevant, you know, they're getting away, I gotta run after them, I--

Operator: Anna, listen to me, DO NOT chase after them, stay in your apartment, the Mods have been dispatched--

Caller: I'll be fine, it's fine--

Operator: Anna, I am TELLING you--

Caller: Yeah, well, that fourth person I chased after, they're dead.

Operator: Is this Anna?

Caller: Yes, I-- I chased after them but couldn't quite catch up and then, well, I did catch up, but only because they were slumped over in an alley. The alley between Carquie's Pizza & Pie Emporium and le Petit Filet Steakhouse.

Operator: Do you think they were injured at the original scene or--

Caller: No, no, they were fine at the original scene, this happened afterward, I think-- but don't worry, if the assailants are still around I've got my blowtorch ready and--

Operator: Anna, we've dispatched the Mods to the scene, DO NOT use your blowtorch, just stay put and--

Caller: Oh, don't worry, I'm trained in using the blowtorch, it's fine--

Operator: If you use that blowtorch, you will be arrested, ma'am. I am telling you that now, do not use the blowtorch. Now stay PUT until the Mods arrive.

Caller: Wait, wait, the Mods? Aw, hell no-- not after that debacle with that Darra Pixie, I'm out, I'm out, I--

Operator: Ma'am, do not disconnect this phone ca--

Dear Ms. Freader,

I just wanted to thank you so much again for your time this morning. As I expressed during the interview, I believe that I would be a very good fit for the NTWF Herald family, and I look forward to the opportunities the position as Investigative Reporter would open both for myself and for the Herald. I hope to hear from you soon in regards to the position, and once again, thank you for your time and consideration. I also wanted to apologize once again for the fact that I was a few minutes late to the interview; this is certainly not a habit I make, but due to the unfortunate deaths that rocked the forum this morning, the usual route I would take between my house and the Herald offices was blocked by a Mods blockade, which caused me a significant delay. I do not in usual circumstances undervalue the importance of punctuality, and if the position is given to me, I promise I'll be the first each day in the office- not the last!

Anna,

No doubt you've heard the news by now that there were more deaths tonight - rumors have been flying across the work email like it was ntwitter HQ or something. It's ridiculous.

Jonah was pulling an extremely late shift last night and he ended up at the scene of the crime to investigate. He claimed that he saw you there, but you ran off into the shadows with some sort of blowtorch before he could ask you what's going on - could you confirm or deny that allegation?

Also, I asked Avery about the company credit card and she's threatening to use it anyways. How did she even get that one past us?

Chat me back when you get this message. I'm assuming you aren't coming in to the office today.
