(more or less continued from what she was doing yesterday, as Certain Thorns waited too long to post a reply in the day one thread and then it closed).
The Zombie Pirate Queen: Theodore, stop it. I like my coffee, I need my coffee, I...hey, give that back!
*tries to snatch it back off him, but the headline of the paper he is waving about catches her eye*
Err...okay. *reading the headlines* Alyssa, have you seen this?
*scans the front page*
Oh my goodness!
Murder, here at the NTWF? This is such a calm, death-free, completely rational place! How could there have been a murder?
Maybe we should go talk to some people, see what's going on. I-I would feel safer out in the open, in a bigger group.
"That's the worst... or the best... of real life, Anne. It won't let you be miserable. It keeps on trying to make you comfortable... and succeeding... even when you're determined to be unhappy and romantic." - Miss Lavendar, Anne of Green Gables
Oh man Liou, RIP in peace! I thought the sprawling metropolis of the NTWF had a vast Phoenix Down industry?
Robert: *whinnies* Phoenixes? Phoenixes are the sacred messengers of the Lord Woo. However, the Lord Woo takes his children and we should not try to take them back. All we can do is pray that they will be safe in the Woo's light. Can I interest you in a leaflet?
*trots up* 8D I can teach you about friendship with the Lord Woo himself! What could be better?
Umm; does friendship with this Lord Woo come with magic? I dunno, you don't seem to have any cutie marks on your flank; what kind of pony are you?
And poor Liou! This is tragic; who could have done such a thing?
Robert: *tosses head* Of course, friendship with the Lord Woo is very much magic, except the magic comes from within. I do not understand what you mean by cutie mark, however. The Lord Woo has chosen not to bless me with knowledge of whatever that is but at the same time, since I do not know about it, he has also blessed me with not requiring that information.
Oh, Ms. Ou was an actress? They're so prone to drama! Do you know if she had any tumultuous personal relationships, perhaps? A lover scorned?
Oh, goodness no! I think she was in some kind of B-movie one time! Titanic in Space or some such nonsense!
As a woman with a weak constitution who only wishes to get married and serve a darling hero, I just couldn't handle all of that.
Besides, as if there wasn't room on that piece of space debris for two people. But instead she watched him fall into the sun. It was tragic!
Ahh, Mr. Mathis. *casually takes an iPhone picture* You were acquainted with Ms. Ou?
... you know, it would sell a lot of papers-- *coughs* Ahem, sorry. As I was saying, if you could give the Journal an exclusive interview about the deceased, that would be such a lovely tribute to her. It would... really help elevate your popularity and virtuous reputation even more, to be so caring. How about it?
It certainly is a tragedy to hear about Liou's death. Particularly shocking given how peaceful the forum has been over the past few weeks.
Avery, I'll see you back at the office before you head to the vigil this evening. I do hope that you will use this time to write a respectful article, instead of harassing those who are attempting to grieve during a time of mourning. Also, make sure you send me what progress you get before you put it to press, though I rather hope that I won't have to do any serious revisions.
If you get my drift.
Though the road has been messy, it made this song; For nothing of value, nothing which lasts, nothing human, Is ever pure.
Mr. Tos! Gasoline, you say? That's... that's not good. Do you know how it happened? Or... did... someone do it on purpose? ... if so was she... perhaps an admin? About... 5'7", brown hair, goes by the name of "Carrie", or sometimes, I've learned, the pseudonym 'Avery'?
