I want to share with all of you a piece of music I put together in my MIDI composition college class, but the resulting audio file is too big to be attached, and I don't want to put it on YouTube or anything because I don't feel comfortable sharing it with the whole online world yet.
Please help?

You can make youtube videos private. That way only someone with a link can view it. It's what my friend did when he was testing videos for a possible online gaming news thing.
Other then that, when it comes to audio files, I'm clueless.

Are you trying to upload the MIDI itself, or another music file made from the MIDI? If it's the latter, you may want to try either uploading the MIDI or making the non-MIDI lower quality (more compressed). Putting it in a ZIP file might work, too. As for uploading, there are a number of file-hosting alternatives. My personal favorite is Dropbox, which is meant for syncing files across devices/computers, but also gives you a 'public' folder to put stuff that you want to share across the Internet. You also get a couple of gigabytes for free, and you can get more for doing a number of little things (adding different types of machines, inviting friends, etc). Also, you don't have to worry about people getting bombarded with ads and such, which means less annoyance, and less change of virus spread. Here's an example of a public link: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34085994/How%20to%20use%20the%20Public%20folder.rtfThat's basically just the item Dropbox gives you to tell you how to use the public folder. Oh yeah, I forgot about dropbox. That works pretty good most of the time. I just throw things into the public folder then right click the items I want to share (snagging the DB url) XD

Thanks for everything. I already have Dropbox, and I'm glad to have that info. I don't have a MIDI keyboard at home, only at the college.

I don't have a MIDI keyboard at home, only at the college. You can save MIDI music using MIDI files (as apposed to using a microphone to make an MP3), and you don't even need a keyboard to make MIDI files. For example, one free program to make MIDIs in is Anvil Studio, where you can basically make a MIDI song by writing in the sheet music (via the mouse). You can still use a MIDI keyboard with these programs, though, and it usually makes composition faster. Or if you don't have Windows, there's also MuseScore, though MIDI export tends to be a bit buggier. MIDI files are also a lot smaller in file size than MP3s (baring a few exceptions, such as using pitchbend), and you don't have to worry about stuff like microphone quality, so they're a great way to share MIDI music.
