"WHY CAN'T YOU FREAKING TELL PEOPLE WHEN YOU KNOW WHO THE MURDERER IS?!" screeched Geoffrey. "I MEAN, IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING THAT COULD MAYBE, I DUNNO, HELP KEEP US FROM GETTING MURDERED IF THE MURDERER WOULD STRIKE AGAIN, WHY WOULD YOU KEEP IT TO YOURSELF? IT'S PRETTY DARN RUDE OF YOU, I MUST SAY. AND ALSO INCREDIBLY IRRESPONSIBLE! I MEAN I DON'T KNOW WHAT OMNISCIENT BEINGS ARE USUALLY LIKE, BUT FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN THEY MUST BE INCREDIBLY CALLOUS AND GENERALLY ALL-AROUND AWFUL, BECAUSE YOU ARE THE WORST! YOU'VE TORTURED ME THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE LIFE AND NOW YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO GET ME AND MY SISTER AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE KILLED! ALL FOR YOUR OWN SICK AND TWISTED AMUSEMENT! I MEAN I'M SURE AS A NARRATOR YOU WANT TO TELL A GOOD STORY AND ALL THAT, BUT WE ARE REAL PEOPLE IN A REAL MANSION WITH A REAL DEAD BODY AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE -"
That Delaney boy was braver than Marvin had would have given him credit for! Hold on a minute - omniscient being? Lifelong torture? What was the boy on about?
But before he could start puzzling any of it out, Stal had somehow opened a secret door in the wall and was now fleeing down a tunnel! Wait, could Stal have been the murderer all along? There was no time to ponder, as he sprang into action along with the others.
"After him! We can't let him escape!"

"...Hmm."
"...Well."
"It seems our old shed is going to be quite popular."
"You know, it's a good thing that first wacko had those screwdrivers in her pocket."
"What makes you say that?"
"Every single person here is unhinged--they've all got a screw loose!"
"Don't be ridiculous, Standorf! A loose cannon doesn't fix things!"
"DOHOHOHOHOHOHO!"
"Those were AWFUL, you buffoons."
"Hey! Hey, come back, you lunatic houseguests, come fix this dumb grand piano first!"
"Grand piano? This one's only mediocre at best!"
"DOHOHOHOHOHOHO!"

"Snaw!" Erika snapped. "Look!"
Everyone was heading down a passage.
"Come on!" she said angrily, grabbing Snaw's arm.

"Calm, drink. You need this," Sergei pushed the flask almost into his face, letting the smell of the vodka inside drift up Geoffrey's nostrils.
Geoffrey stared wide-eyed at the Russian soldier. "Uh...uh..." He'd always been kept away from alcohol; his parents would never let him drink a drop. Since they were afraid that it would intensify whatever strange voice he heard in his head...
But hey, maybe he didn't care! His parents weren't there, after all. Maybe he ought to do something rebellious for a change!
"Thank you," he said, snatching the flask out of Sergei's hand and downing it in one gulp.
It stung as it went down, and Geoffrey immediately felt dizzy.
Before he could absorb what he had done, however, Prince Stal had dragged Hanna into a secret passage and closed it behind him.
Oh, and also there was the giant blue bear that had attacked Hanna in the shed earlier. Immediately, Alexa grabbed Geoffrey's arm, pressed the button, and dragged him into the passage with her.
"I don't care that you are as crazy as your sister," Alexa said. "Or that she's crazy. It would make perfect sense for Stal to know the killer if he was the killer. He's not doing himself any favors by running off and kidnapping your sister. Now, come on!"
Geoffrey didn't resist; he ran alongside Alexa after the prince and Hanna (and also the bear, who Geoffrey was not exactly eager to approach). The alcohol was going to his head; he wasn't running in an entirely balanced way. (Of course Geoffrey was a lightweight drinker. What did you expect?)
As he ran, Geoffrey pondered what he was going to do once he actually caught up with Prince Stal. It didn't really sound, from the narration, like the prince was planning to do anything horrible to Hanna.
But who knows? thought Geoffrey. After all, the narrator is REFUSING TO TELL ANYONE WHO THE MURDERER IS, RIGHT? Who KNOWS WHAT KIND OF OTHER SECRETS THEY'RE KEEPING?
Rochelle, Sergei, and Erika were also running down the passage. As they caught up, Geoffrey may or may not have deliberately attempted to slow down slightly to allow them to surpass him; though Alexa's iron grip on his arm may have prevented him from doing much, anyway. But with this many people, surely Prince Stal couldn't do anything even if he tried, right?
At least that's what Geoffrey thought; the narrator has no such confidence that events will progress so smoothly.
(Geoffrey narrowed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and exhaled in frustration at the narrator's previous sentence.)

"After him! We can't let him escape!"
Rob returned from his ponderings as a kidnapping was added to the myriad of commotion.
He didn't bother to check if Miss Macy was going into outright hysterics--Geoffrey seemed to be making sure of that with his drilling, at least until the Major offered him a drink, and the ginger dragged him along through the passage.
Not entirely unexpected after the laundry chute debacle, but at least it gave him another reason why the basement was the most logical place for the murder to have happened.
Even that didn't explain why the most active few guests were already tumbling through this newfound tunnel--some more calmly than others, but most of them following suit at any rate. Probably to steal his kill, which was disappointing, but it would save him the work.
Rob, again ignoring Obi's whereabouts for the time being, decided to follow suit. And this time, he brought popcorn. Very pungent garlic popcorn.
Something relevant would happen, even if he had to just watch it this time.
He promptly bumped into the back of the knee of the person at the back of the row. And complained vocally about it, as he surely had the right to do this late in the already troublesome evening.
"Excuse me, fleshling! If you were parked that long in a vehicle, you'd have been towed from the place they towed you to by now!"

Alexa opened the door from the passage that led into the shed. She looked around, the shed was empty. She continued out into the garden, but she didn't see Stal or Hanna there either.
"Listen up!" she shouted at the top of her lungs to the other party guests spilling from the shed. "It seems like you are all with partners already. Split up in those teams of two and fan out. We need to find Stal before he hurts Hanna!"
She dragged Geoffrey with her into the hall. "Okay, Geoffrey, which way? Lounge, study, or bedroom?"

Rochelle's proclamations against Stal were thankfully backed up by Sergei, with his great proclamation. And he also pointed out a good idea for what to do with the semi-tightlipped Stal. When Sergei offered his hand, she grabbed it before he could finish his sentence. As she ran down with him, doing her best to keep up, she was inwardly thankful for his friendship. She had stopped considering him as a murderer a while ago. He just seemed too respectful and polite to stoop to something so low. Still though... If Woo were here, this wouldn't need to have happened at all. And her plans to get closer to Woo... All of them were dashed. All for nothing... At least Sergei was gentlemanly and kind enough to help her out. She's the only one here that she could consider a friend.
It seemed Rochelle and Sergei weren't the only ones who chased down the tunnel after Stal. Rochelle was relieved at this; he already had a head start, and they needed to fan out to find him. Although the tunnel was quite crowded. She recalled trying to pass someone at least once, though it proved difficult to do so.
They finally exited in what seemed to be a shed, and she was one of the ones who crowded in. Then Alexa turned to them and spoke up.
"Listen up! It seems like you are all with partners already. Split up in those teams of two and fan out. We need to find Stal before he hurts Hanna!"
"We need to go quickly, then," Rochelle said, nodding. She was wary about people splitting up into teams of two, but at least she was comfortable being with Sergei in this. "Sergei, maybe we should check the Hall first? Unless you have another idea."

((Narrator Note: Congratulations to Celestial and GLQ, who have tied for 2nd place! You, too, can tie for 2nd if you get it today! Otherwise, there's still the coveted bronze trophy. ;D As an aside, I will NO LONGER be including a composite of your hand with each response to a guess, as with people having so many cards, it's getting a tad out of hand (hah, the puns!). XD Finally, a note: WINNING GUESSES ARE NOT INCLUDED FOR LEADERBOARD STATS. This is for obvious reasons: if numerous people get in a day, you could easily deduce the solution based on the leaders.))

Snaw followed everyone into the secret passageway. Once everyone was outside, Snaw asked everyone, "Does anybody have a sandwich?"

Manuel took a few puffs on his pipe before taking off his hat and coat, not wanting the medals to become dirtied in the tunnel. "I wouldn't be an officer of the Commonwealth if I stood by and allowed this poor woman to come to harm, even if that chap is royalty, I'm more than prepared to cause a diplomatic incident over an affair of honour." And with that followed the others into the passageway.
"I saw sir," He shouted down to the Prince turned kidnapper "That is not conduct becoming of a gentleman, I shall permit you one chance to surrender yourself and the hostage, or I will be forced to intervene!"

"Does anybody have a sandwich?"
Apparently, Rob had escaped notice throughout the whole passage.
"No, but do you prefer iocane or broken glass? I'd have no problem making you one," Rob yelled rather sarcastically at Snaw and began to jump up and down while whirling his approximation of fists in an attempt to be threatening.
"These things pack rockets!"
To demonstrate, he fired one mecha rocket fist towards the general direction of Stal and Hanna.
---
Meanwhile, back in the box fort in the basement, Obi began to prod Mori and ask who he was talking to before his phone rang, because Obi thinks the Bluetooth was probably off for all that.

[Alexa] dragged Geoffrey with her into the hall. "Okay, Geoffrey, which way? Lounge, study, or bedroom?"
"Uh, uh, uh -" Geoffrey didn't know how to make this decision. How was he possibly supposed to know where Prince Stal and Hanna were? The narrator was keeping extremely quiet about their location, so, really, how was Geoffrey supposed to know where to go?
But Geoffrey was soon distracted by this when he heard the narrator mention a mecha rocket fist.
"Oh God -" Geoffrey dropped to the floor, yanking Alexa down with him, and not a moment too soon - as he did, he heard a very loud boom.
In response, Geoffrey curled up, put his head in his hands, and whimpered. "Oh, God, oh God, we're gonna die, we're gonna diiiiiiiie..."

Alexa was waiting for Geoffrey to make up his mind when suddenly he cried out, dropping to the floor and dragging her with him. There was an explosion that rattled the room, sending things falling from every surface and shattering glass everywhere.
"What the hell just happened!" Alexa demanded, looking around at the destruction.
"Oh, God, oh God, we're gonna die, we're gonna diiiiiiiie..." Geoffrey whimpered as he curled into a fetal position on the floor.
Alexa hauled Geoffrey up by his collar. "Geoffrey, hold it together! We're not going to die. Whoever fired whatever that was might, and I might very well kill Stal when we find him for starting this madness, but we're not going to die. Now get up. We still have to find your sister and the prince."
Alexa got to her feet. "Come on, we'll try the bedroom."
Stepping over the fallen furniture and broken glass, Alexa made her way out of the hall.

Sergei ran down the secret passageway, feeling the thrill of the situation. He had not missed it, in fact he had rather enjoyed having a quiet life full of pleasures but now that he was chasing after a potential murderer with a beautiful lady holding his hand, this suddenly seemed quite fun. As long as it did not turn into complete hell down the road, he could still have a wonderful evening, albeit a different kind of fun than he was expecting.
The young man, Geoffrey, that he had given his flask to seemed to be quite woozy. Sergei found it quite amusing how so little booze could get somebody so drunk. He was sure he'd drunk more than double what the boy had and he was still perfectly fine. But he had had over fourty years of practice, something which this boy clearly did not have. Still, it meant that he and Rochelle came out in the shed first, although soon it became very crowded as Alexa and Geoffrey caught up. Sergei has to squeeze up against its walls before he found the door and they all tumbled out into the garden. Nevertheless, the close proximity allowed him to swipe his flask back.
"Good idea," he smiled at Alexa, stroking his moustache and turned to Rochelle. "No, I have a better idea."
There was a knowing glimmer in his eye. The run, while not very long, had allowed him to figure out who the killer was. What Stal was saying made sense. The clues were there, he just had to stop and piece them together. Looking at his partner, he knew that she too had figured it all out.
"Rochelle, dorogaya, let's find that Prince and his prisoner. Then we tell everyone who killer is," he said and offered her his hand. "Study? Lots of hiding places there."

Freak, Snaw thought. I mean, just look his shoes!
After staring at the hooligan jump up and down, Snaw continued to explore the passageway for any clues.
