Today, I got the "Good Day at the Bank" avatar. I didn't know what I did to get it at first, but after looking, you get it for depositing neopoints on your active pet's birthday.
I forgot it was Comet turns five today.
And since Comet's birthday is today, my main account also turns five, since I made her when I made the account.
(How I forgot, I have no idea, I commented about it to friends last night.)

You know, this is the third day in the row doing the Qasalan Expellibox where the scarab piece landed BESIDES the NC spot.

A bit random, but does anyone know the name of the background being awarded for winning Better Than You this week?

A bit random, but does anyone know the name of the background being awarded for winning Better Than You this week? "Fyoras Balcony" no apostrophe, no background at the end.

Um, I thought we specifically had to indicate code/formatting using square brackets [], as the angle brackets <> get lost when submitting. I kind of doubt that's changed. Plus, the reason being "it will save a lot of time for editing" instead of "Hey! We fixed it so you can now use actual HTML tags!" makes me just think Jade isn't aware of why we've been using brackets. :/

Just so she's not swarmed by neomails, any volunteers or should I do it?

How much time could it possibly take to use the find and replace feature to turn [ and ] into < and >?

Okay, I sent nt_editor this neomail message:
I'll post here any response I get.

Yeeeah, I genuinely would not risk sending in a story with carrot brackets unless I knew 100% that the form won't eat them; I'll risk extra work for the editor over the formatting going poof, thank you very much. And I have precious little faith in them being aware of the workings of the various forms and the workarounds we've developed to get around long-standing issues >__> Also see: the ever-broken comic thumbnail form that they're yet to fix after I think going on three years (and only got around to addressing it now) and the fact that they still hotlink to thumbnails we do submit in the comments box while apparently unaware of the security ramifications.
(fortunately for everyone involved, I'm much too invested in my account to submit a random comic with a thumbnail via Photobucket and then change the thumbnail into hot nekkid men or something after it's linked to in the NT just to drive the point home, but it still feels like a major scandal just waiting to happen.)

Anyone else getting a lot of slowdown and "This site was too slow to respond" messages?

I haven't gotten any of those messages yet (although it's been a couple hours since I was on Neo), but the site has still been pretty darn slow for me. Seems like a lot of people are experiencing lag today, alongside a glitchy Trudy.

I know it means nothing, but I kinda wish there was a way to search for wearables by color.

The thing is that several sites (notably tinypic, but does anyone even use that anymore?) will change the image half the time without even consulting the original uploader. In a way, that scandal has already happened on ULs, petpages, guilds, and shops. Never anywhere that TNT controls like the NT, though. Imagine getting frozen because TNT didn't re-upload an image you sent and the image host decided to re-use the URL for a dirty image.
