Thoughts on Kingdom Hearts III as I've... already nearly 100%'d it. Well, I sadly have to say that my overall opinion is... disappointment. It's not an awful game (and nowhere near the levels of disaster that were Final Fantasy 15), but to me it just wasn't a very satisfying conclusion to the Xehanort saga. It was an okay game and it could've been a great game.
KHIII suffers from an extreme lack of focus, terrible pacing, and unecessary filler. Many important plot points and characters are glossed over or completely absent. The majority of the cast play almost no role in the story and barely interact with each other. Characters appear and disappear without context. and it feels like the whole thing was just a throwaway set-up for the next game.
In the end I did enjoy playing it, but the stuff I was most looking forward to (the story conclusions, reunions, and character interactions) were so poorly executed that my overall enjoyment of the game hit a low ceiling. XP At least all of my major plot theories were confirmed. XD

That's a bummer. I debated whether this game would be the final reason I needed to go out and purchase a PS4/XBox One and clearly, most have said it's not a good reason. That said, there are other titles on those platforms that I'm interested in so I'm just waiting for the consoles to be on sale bundled with a game I want. Still, I enjoyed KH so much and I really wanted it to do well.

Geo 🇺🇦 🌻 Yeah, the game has very mixed reviews right now from what I've seen.
I know a few who were waiting on KHIII as their reason to purchase a console, and it is a big bummer that the game was such a disappointment for many. :<

There are a few decisions made by Nintendo with regards to the switch that I still don’t understand.
1. Why is the USB port on the back of the dock a 3.0 port that runs at 2.0 speeds? Like if I’m plugging an Ethernet adapter into the back, I get miserable speeds of less 20 Mbps. I’m not asking for it to do 1 Gigabit, I just want it be the full speeds the hardware can support.
2. Why is the WiFi chip nerfed? Again it only goes up to 25 Mbps when my other devices with similar WiFi specs go up to 200...400 when sitting next to the router?
3. Why haven’t they fixed the bug that causes your switch to get warm when a Ethernet adapter is plugged in and the devices is asleep?

By the way, Tales of Vesperia: DE seems to have received a patch. On Switch, the version number is 1.0.2. Haven’t seen the crash after taking this patch.

Fire Emblem Heroes Stuff, new character reveal over Twitter.
I have a hunch that Rhea will be an adversary of some sort. It’s a fairly common trope where some organized religion ends up being corrupt or abuses their power, so the goal is to stop them or overthrow them. Sure, she seems like nice on the outside but I have a feeling she’s burned a few people at the stake.
That said, I would welcome something unique and different in Three Houses and I would be pleasantly surprised if Rhea undergoes transformation and becomes an important ally, leading to an enlightenment where she becomes more open minded and merciful.
Rhea does come close to my current characterization of Queen Fyora though. I see Fyora as motherly most of the time, but she won’t tolerate villains like the Darkest Faerie. However, Queen Fyora is generally very merciful.
Anyways, I hope Three Houses isn’t too cliché.

Well, I ended up buying a refurbished Xbone. Guess I can now play KH3, and games I never got to play like The Witcher 3, Dishonored 2, Read Dead Redemption 2, Monster Hunter, etc.

Yeah, I think I have a problem. Here’s my Switch backlog: - FFX/X-2 (WIP) - FFXII: Zodiac Age - Ys: VIII - FE: Three Houses* - Pokémon Shield*
My Xbox backlog includes the games listed above and Halo 5, FFXV, and oh, I’m interested in Fallout 4. So: - KH3 (WIP) - The Witcher 3 - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Halo 5 - Fallout 4 - FFXV - Monster Hunter World - Dishonored 2
If only I didn’t have to like...have a job and earn money and be responsible for stuff. I would have all the time in the world. That’s not how real life works unfortunately.

Yeah, that's a list of games alright XD I have no job and a decent amount of time to play games, and even I would have trouble with all of those XD
Out of them I've played 3 though.
Halo 5, warning, that install takes forever... But at least the story mode is probably the fasted out of all the games. (beat it in about 2 days). Downside, story is a bit... Lacking? Reach will probably be my favorite in the Halo series.
FFXV, Killix might not agree, but it's a pretty good game. I still technically haven't finished XD I got distracted at one point. But I should get back to it, I'm around the end and where people tend to talk the worst about the game, sooo XD Either way I've enjoyed it.
Monster Hunter World, I played a lot of it. I'm not that great at it. It's a fun game, but very grindy. Playing with friends or at least randoms is recommended. Though Killix is a monster and soloed the game so *shrug*
Oh and Monster Hunter is part of Xbox Game Pass, so if you were willing to pay that fee you can play it "free" along with a ton of other games.
Out of the games on Xbox you listed, Red Dead Redemption 2 is on my lit of games I want/need to play.
---
In my own gaming news; I've been playing Outer Wilds. Last year during E3 they announced the game, and since I watched it live on Mixer, they gave people who watched the game free. So it's been sitting there all year on pre-order and finally released XD It's a fun game. It's like if you cross No Man Sky with Majora's Mask with a game like Myst. You have about 20 minutes to launch into space and explore the small galaxy before time is reset and you wake up to start the day over again. You remember all the things you did (and for whatever reason your computer does to), so you can now skip steps to learning the mysteries of the galaxy. It's pretty fun, frustrating, and cool to explore XD

I’ve acquired some of the games I’ve mentioned. They are all heavily discounted used copies and the discs I got were in excellent condition.
Install times are okay, but there’s a wall between the console and the router and even with a power line network, I’m averaging about 60-80 Mbps in speed. If I could just drill a hole in the wall and run a direct line, that would be nice.
I’m also having a hard time getting my console to read the Red Dead Redemption 2 disc until I rebooted the console. I heard this is a rare but not unknown problem sometimes. Anyways, I’m still working through KH3 and tbh, I’m a bit bored of it lol. I’ll still play through it because I like KH as a series.
