Alright, hopefully that should do it, but since the symptoms appeared at random, I guess I won't really know for sure until... ever, I guess, or until I have a problem again.

The random part makes me even more certain the problem was gunk. Probably. It was pretty messy underneath. Although given the concentration of hairs I found near it, I'm surprised the scroll wheel hasn't given me any trouble. |
