What kind of person am I wherein the social media I look up for a guy I want to know better is his Linkedin? Not the first guy I've done this for, either.
Also, a note if you're wanting to stalk someone's social media, but at least in my experience Linkedin gives you notifications whenever someone's viewed your profile, plus the name of who specifically looked you up. I always forget this x3;

The tradeoff being you can't see who visited you, but I don't want to know that anyway.

Tomorrow my club's having a Halloween-themed team meeting, and part of that involves bringing food if you'd like. I figured why not try and make something, specifically some Samhain food (wiccan/pagan holiday that takes place around same time as Halloween). I've been wanting to find more ways to celebrate these kind of holidays, and what better way than food~
I went with a fairly simple recipe, but either it wasn't simple enough for me, or perhaps too simple, as after a whole night of baking I have nothing to show for it </3 I'm glad I at least gave it a try, but it's too bad all those ingredients went towards failed products xD;

Me: "I have a degree in science, and am thus practiced in math, be it solving, manipulation, or interpretation, in order to come to a solution. Thus, I am comfortable with many analytical challenges my field poses and can answer so many questions on the subject."
Also me: "lol, what are the math rules for logarithms again? Just gotta be sure." *Looks them up for the 15th time this week.*

So I posted in the Weird Dreams thread today. And part of the dream is that I'm given a sort of salmon dinner, though while the food is probably fine, there was something up about it. Today, I go to a potluck, I'm trying all the things, and one of the things provided...? Salmon.Then I had to eat it. It was a dream come true! (Had to calm down dream-self first.)

(Had to calm down dream-self first.) >_> <_< Being presented with food you don't want to eat in a dream, even though it looks appetizing, is often a sign of feeling stuck in some unpalatable situation being served up all nice-like. (see, I translated a book on the psychology of dream interpretation a while ago and have been avoiding the Weird Dreams thread like the plague because I would basically be That Guy offering up explanations for everything.) Speaking of translation, my workload today involves the cross section of mushy romance novels, a press release on organic grain, an atlas on extinct animals and court documents on some ugly ongoing custody battle. So business as usual. Then I got a big ol' contract due on Monday. Looks like a standard enough real right contract for amendment of a usufruct... ...counterparty to the contract: The Kingdom of Netherlands. ...NO PRESSURE ALL OF A SUDDEN. (TLDR of it is that the embassy is moving house and there's paperwork involved. But hoy, I best not screw this one up.)

Huntress - Huh, interesting... I'm not normally a huge dream interpretation person as while there are patterns, sometimes dreams just come from memories and thoughts being sorted as one sleeps and the brain deciding which ones to chuck into the garbage, so sometimes I feel it's too random unless there's something pressing or there's consistent thoughts. But considering stuff going on in my life and what the rest of the dream was about, I'd say that's spookily accurate. (Now what sort of thing I'm stuck with in particular, I can't say, but knowing me and my life right now, maybe it's a multitude of things. Perhaps including things I'm trying to convince myself is fine. xD ) Regardless of my earlier words, dream interpretation can be fun, and if I have something to go on, I have fun examining dreams or other things. I find it interesting and curious, and it kinda jogs my brain a bit, whether or not I say something about it. And oh my at that commission. That is a very understandable pressure. xD Good luck! Knowing you, it sounds like you got it.

Today, I hopped into a local eyeglasses place in a segment of a grocery store to see if they could adjust my glasses for me. They could. So while we were working on that, someone came in, may or may not have grabbed something, and walked out (the assumption would be that they could pay out front, which is true for some segments but not others, including this one). The person working with me unsuccessfully calls after them.
Person with my glasses in their hands: "Did you see if they got anything in their cart?" Me:

Printer: "Oh, I see you have a job! Here, let me help you print both sides! I'll just print these, then put these back this way and I'll print the other sides in just the right orientation! Just lemme know when you've done the next step and are ready!"
Me: "...It was a one-page paper. Why did you bother with the first print?"

Today I decided to treat myself and go out for lunch. There was a restaurant near a church and I sat near the window. While there, I saw a funeral service going in. Wondered who it was for.
Turns out it was our neighbour. She had died a while back and my mum did not tell me. And that is how I accidentally witnessed my neighbour's funeral despite having no idea about it.
(She was 81 and had been suffering from cancer for a while so this was not particularly surprising but)

Happy to announce I think my music taste finally beat puberty???
And it was very sudden too. Dju is your millennial music person. You know, summer hits and so. Top ten. THat kind of thing. And since two weeks now somehow I got this neat treasure of a playlist of 70's rock till early 2000's and it's just such a gem. It's full of Bowie, and Elton John, and the Zombies and wow. I am so proud. I feel so musically educated.
Also wow, I am one of those annoying picky music people. Darnit.

I want to research- no, absorb all information on a certain topic. I feel obligated to learn all I can about it. Except I don't have a lot of time, I feel like my mum would want to guard me from the horror and I know it will be depressing and painful.
But...but I feel like I must.

Eeek, Black Friday's tentacles have spread all the way down here! Oh, as far as I can see, Black Friday here consists in a few stores doing perfunctory sales, and a few stores taking advantage of it to have ads saying "pfff, in our store it's Black Friday all year round anyway BI"
