... I keep getting reminded of what things led to…----- {Well...} Forget it. It doesn't matter how fancy you make it; a cell is still a cell. And we already get treated like crazy nut-jobs. *still straining, looking like he's starting to lower* Vile... Some help, please? {They won't accept captivity. Very few would hide near the base of their pursuers, and with this information in mind, they should try searching farther away. ----- *typing stuff up* {I'd like to slow down Apps and Digitals if we need to. I don't expect it to kill them – or even freeze them up forever – but if we could interrupt their processes for any amount of time, we should be able to confuse them and buy some time. ... I'll copy a data sample while you're working on that. *checks the instructions for anything he might need to know before starting* ((Not sure if we're to that point, yet, but I think we should be able to skip non-important parts.)) ----- And others that you know? And other innocents that she would hurt? *to Swash* You'll have to stop me, first. *tries throwing another sonic-slash at Swash's back, moving to the side, and using a gust to try bringing the Digital cap to him*

Estrya: Well... there's always hope. Things will get better, you'll see. You'll now have at least two worlds working on the Maverick problem, that means it's bound to get solved in no time!

Taisean: {I have to try}
Helvetica: {They're about to attack, Taisean, give it up}
Taisean: {I won't give up.} *moves closer to the males* Please. We don't want to hurt you.
Omen: {For the love of-} *moves to stand beside Taisean* Hey. The title of crazy nut-job belongs to me. You don't act anywhere as insane as I did when I first came here.
Taisean: We weren't offering a cell. *holds out a hand to them* We're requesting that you stay with us.
Omen: There's a reason we're kept separate from other Rinamian robots. We aren't like them.
Taisean: Mother started this program because -
Omen: Because no one else would give a [dang]. It's easier to ignore a problem then to actually deal with it.
Taisean: Students, patients, there's a lot of names that could apply to the robots that live here. *wraps an arm around Omen and gives her a slight hug* I prefer the term "friends".
Helvetica: {No, I meant a cell. Taisean, what are you doing? These guys aren't crazy, they're evil.}
Taisean: {Maybe they aren't. Some of ours have done really terrible things too, Helly.}
Helvetica: {Don't call me that. And you know good and well that none of ours have tried to destroy the world.}
---
App 00: Request denied. That location is not a safe location. Please revise your choice or the default area will be selected.

{Oh. Yeah, I guess that should be pretty easy with the Apps. Be careful, though, Masters tend to know when someone is tinkering around in their realm.}
*Alia can not seem to find what she is looking for, and the system seems to be extremely closed off to outside tampering*

Vice: Ya know- *dodges the Spark Chaser as it pauses and forms into a small ball, dragging Ullet with her* I'm already risking my life- *dodges the chaser as it changes direction and comes at her again* trying to help you. Let's keep the questions and explanations for a time when we're not being shot at.
Ullet: *aims at Terra again*
Vice: *bonks her on the head* No, you idiot, we are getting out of here!
Swash: *turns and draws her own sword to block the sonic slashes*
*Myriad and her digital caps are brought to Harpuia by the wind gust*
Swash: *snorts* She can't help you, Hopper. She knows that if she tries to disobey me I'll start executing the citizens of her beloved city.
Myriad: Swash, I gladly worked with you before, but this... this is too far. You've changed. I don't know you anymore. *whispering very softly, her eyes flickering to the digital caps* Destroy them. Please.
Swash: One. Should we select them by lottery? It certainly sounds like fun.
Clarendon: *sniffing around* .oO(Ah! There you are, back-stabbing Patroler!) *tackles Kabel and begins clawing at her*

Make sure you aren't followed. You two *gestures* Take Harpuia. You're team 1. You others are team 2, you split off. Quick and I will take care of Caslon, and we're team 3. Let's see... Ah! *summons a handful of disk-like objects* Everyone take a few fake Caslons. She's the one they're after. If they find and start gaining on you dump the fake Caslon and use the time it takes them to realize it's not her to escape. Teleport in crowded or remote areas so they your signal will either be lost or really hard to locate. Team two, you go back that way, since you don't actually have anyone. Teams 1 and 3 will continue on from here together and break when I say. Does everyone understand?
Repairer: Why are you the boss and why are we running from Patrolers?
Garamond: We're running from them because they attacked Caslon. I don't care if she did something, she's a nice girl and that was uncalled for. I'm the leader because I'm the royal repairer and because I'm an ex Master of Soulstice City and I can summon nearly every weapon in Rinam. No more time for questions, let's move people!

*sighs .oO (That's part of what I'm afraid of...) ----- *helping hold Gate up* Stay in a room? Not convinced. *still strained, but not as badly* You do everything in your power to keep us from escaping and then you offer us a 'clean room'? Worse yet is you used those cages with hardly a reason. If you want me to stay, then I demand compensation. *frowns* {Knowing Maverick behavior, they're going to want strong compensation.} {Like... Um... Special access to things...} ----- .oO (So much for that...) *gestures at the Digitals being led along* They're being led to a prison, correct? My second choice would be to go with them. Leaders rarely care so much about their prisoners, especially when there are so many. Other than that, I would like to know why the base cannot be a safe place, and what the default area is. ----- {So it's probably best to save anything that isn't subtle for in case we really get in trouble... Half of the idea is to try to undermine their power, though. Hmm... They've locked out access to the system as a 'root' user. It's probably resistant against brute force hacking, too. We've got something that we're reasonably sure will work. Perhaps we're being overly cautious, but we are wondering if there's a chance that the virus can hear us through your system. Estrya: ... X?
---
Taisean: We hardly did everything in our power to stop you. We took you in with no questions asked, because mother said to. Then we found out she was being controlled by a cyber elf that is working for Sigma, and we wanted answers. Please understand where we were coming from with that.
Helvetica: *looks pretty mad* Compensation? After we get attacked and suffer damages because of you? Girls were injured and killed and you're complaining about a cage? And after you, Mr. Gate, are caught trying to use our defense systems to spread some virus? I feel my sister is much too generous and that we should hand you over to the authorities of your own planet.
Omen: {Didn't really think before he said that, did he?}
Taisean: *slightly strained sigh* What sort of compensation were you thinking of, exactly?
Helvetica: Taisean!
---
*Synchro and the Digitals she was speaking to can be glimpsed going their separate ways between the Apps*
App 00: *pauses for a moment* Angel getting arrested is against orders. Why does Angel wish to override orders? Angel has misunderstood, we are not leaving the base. We are leaving Master Harrington's realm. The default safe area is the central control tower of Master Synchro's realm.
---
{Commands? Uh... in my experience with them you tell them to do something and they'll do it unless it conflicts with higher commands. You can't order them to kill a Digital, for instance, or make them delete themselves. That's the default template, anyway; these could be completely different.}
*the App Alia is concentrating on is responsive to her input*
---
Glyph: *sighs* Alright. But... if I do die, please take my body to my sisters, or at least tell them that I died. Let everyone know. .oO(If Sermek hears that another one of us has gone down they'll launch a massive invasion, like they did when Kern died. They were barely beaten back then... Swash and Calli will be forced to work together and unseal Serif if they want to survive.)

*a brief expression of pain crosses Myriad's face before she vanishes*
Vice: We need to grab the Hunter and the-sh- *dashes away from more spark chasers*
Ullet: *break away and runs towards Terra, unloading into him*
Vice: Ullet!
Ullet: *doesn't take her eyes off of Terra, moving only to dodge spark chasers* RUN, VICE!
Swash: *reaches out towards them and the hall begins to shake*
Clarendon: .oO(That doesn't feel good.)

*another sigh* Nevermind... ... Though now that I think about it, someone might be able to hear us from the door.----- Oh that's comforting... ? Under control... working for Sigma? Why wasn't I told about this? ... You effectively imprisoned me without reason! You call it a virus, but do you know what the energy really brings?! Power! Strength! Intellect! Beyond what we could befo-! Gate! Will you let go of the cage thing if they let go of the virus part? Also, no need to shout. I can't concentrate! ... ... As for what exactly... I'd have to see what you have to offer. I admit: much of your technology is impressive. Perhaps we could start with letting me learn how some of it works. {We are the authorities of their planet.} {'Concentrate'?} *ping!* ----- ... ... ... *laughs somewhat* You misunderstand. You don't have to put me in a cell. I'm just asking to come to the same building. I don't particularly plan to lock myself in, nor to have someone do it for me. Also, I meant the 'base' for this realm: the control center...s. Not the sky base. I definitely don't plan on leaving the sky base. ... Although come to think, Synchro's center could be even better than Harrington's. Hmm... I accept, although there is something I would ask: Are the prisoners being taken to Synchro's realm, or at least a portion of them? If not, try to get a good number of them redirected there. If Synchro needs permission to get them, tell Synchro to tell Harrington... that they'll crowd the prison here too much if they're not moved, meaning that it would be difficult to squeeze in any future criminals, and that they'll be more difficult to control if they don't have enough space. Also, tell her to say that they'll probably take up valuable resources for Harrington's realm if they all stay here, even if just in the form of guards. Don't worry, I don't think they'll be a problem for Synchro and I. *serious wink* .oO (Hopefully they're not that stupid.) ----- {Alright, but I don't know how to format those commands. After looking at the basics of programming here, I know variables a lot better than commands. Don't think there's a cheat-sheet... Do you know what some common command phrases are?} ((Yes, I'm pretty sure that she's the one misunderstanding this time.)) ----- ... Alright. I should also warn you that if you survive, the process may still be hard on your systems. So you may wake up feeling... not much better, until you really start recovering. ... *puts a hand on her arm* Good luck. ((Skip to the treatment, or after the treatment?)) ----- *flies away, pulling Vice along if he has to* Sarrel: *Ping!*

Estrya: *sighs* .oO(Nevermind? He didn't say anything...) *crosses her arms* .oO(He's not even giving me a chance. I can't blame him, though, I've done everything wrong so far... And we're from different worlds. It would never work. If you really believed that you wouldn't have to keep reminding yourself of it.) *glances out the door* {You're right.}
*the sound of foot steps come towards them*
Estrya: *tenses*
*a male of Rinamian design walks past the elevator entrance, not seeming to be paying attention to anything other then the screens he's looking at*
---
Omen: Stronger? Smarter? Sorry, but so far you seem pretty weak and stupid compared to normal Reploids. *gestures at Pallette and Layer* And Lumine has bad memory, cause the elf situation with Swash has been mentioned a butt load of times now.
Helvetica: {I know you are. It is unlikely Neretta would have helped you come here otherwise. If we had only been here sooner...}
Taisean: *rushes up towards the males* Alright. We forgive the virus part if you forgive the cages. You can see some of our technology; this is a place of education, philosophy, and healing, particularly of the wounds that can not be seen. We can always use more help.
Omen: vbsbvfjhgds Taisean *zooms up behind her*
Helvetica: The cages are not on equal terms with the attempted city-wide attack. {Let him see more technology? Not going to happen. Who knows what would happen if he got his hands on something really dangerous?}
Ginga: {Like those robots that eat planets?}
Helvetica: {Thank you for reminding me about them, I suddenly achieved a new stress record. Although that would still be better then the current situation with mom...}
{They don't eat them, they mash the planets up. For... whatever reason.}
Helvetica: {It speeds up the material extraction process if you break everything apart and put like minerals into neat little piles.}
Neretta: {Back to the situation at hand, it appears Lumine is up to something. Ginga, Omen, be prepared to help your classmates escape.}
---
App 00: The prisoners are being divided between the realms. We will go to Master Synchro's realm and wait in the tower until they have been settled in.
*the group starts walking, surrounding Phantom fairly closely while trying to keep him hidden from view*
((Hidden Phantom))
---
{You just... talk to them... hnggg. Sorry, I'm having a hard time concentrating on everything. I'm near my max load of people as far as communication goes. If I were older I could handle more... *sighs* It might help me if we did a share screen option. That way I can see what you're trying to do and you can also keep an eye on these monitors I'm watching. Oh! Uh, there's a program you need to open to give a command to one of the Apps in the system. I've forgotten what it's called, but if you search "System Apps" it should be one of the ones listed.}
((Yup))
---
((Whatever you want))
Glyph: *nods* I understand. *looks at Mega for a moment before gingerly sitting up and giving him a light hug* Thank you.
---
Vice: *dragged along* Ullet! Ullet you idiot!
Swash: *pauses, losing focus for the moment* .oO(What was that?)
Ullet: *races over and shoves Mercury and Clarendon out into the elevator shaft, turning around the face Terra, Jupiter, and Swash as Vice's effect fades away*
Clarendon: .oO(Falling. Definitely not good.) *fumbles around and summons a wind board, changing into her humanoid form as she falls*
---
*two ominous figures rise up into the sky, their silhouettes black against the red ember-strewn sky behind them, but almost as quickly as they appeared they vanish*
Garamond: ... That's almost creepy enough that I wish they had chased us.
---
Chancery: *grins a little* I'm interested to see what you have in mind. I'm not picky.

((*reads over again* Estrya: .oO(He's not even giving me a chance. I can't blame him, though, I've done everything wrong so far... And we're from different worlds. It would never work.) ... Oh. Right. *oblivious this time around*)) *watches the figure pass by* ... {Aren't your people all female? Or are males just rare?} ((DUN DUN DUUUUUN!)) ----- Now that's just low... ... ... How about a- Pardon the interruption, but I have some bad news. According to the Elves, Swash is possessed, but not under the... syn-cyber-biote's... control. Or maybe the Elf is lying and she is under control. Either way, she's still being stupid and impulsive. She's not even pretending to be on anyone's side. I think we've all been betrayed. {The situation just keeps getting worse, doesn't it?} I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we'll want to work together on this one WHAT?! He may be right...----- ((He probably doesn't need help to hide, but hey.)) Alright... Good. Let's go, then. *follows* ----- {Oh... So they speak English. Well, I think I have one of them open to commands already.} *tries typing in "walk in a zig-zag pattern," and if that doesn't work "walk sideways"* {You're going to have to tell me how to share my screen. That or invite me to do it, which would probably be faster.} ----- {Outside the Light house (pun semi-intended)} *the family has a monitoring system hooked up to a sleeping Glyph, as well as what looks like several, little, metal boxes with switches, and wires hooked up to her* We've checked three times. Everything is in place. It feels like this is now or never. *takes a breath* Alright. First, I would like to wish for luck for all of us. Now let's begin. *switch flipping* *the boxes release code disguised as Glyph's, as well as several vaccines* *the decoys readily confuse the virus, slowing it down without much trouble* *the vaccines also start attacking and damaging the virus, though it shows signs of adapting somewhat faster than in the simulations* *more switch flipping* *a carefully-modified version of the virus is released, designed to attack whatever harms Glyph* *unfortunately, the virus is not as 'confused' as they hoped it would be, and is quick to put up a fight; the counter-virus is slow to gain ground* *gently biting lip* *however, between the traps, the vaccines, the counter-virus, and Glyph's natural defense, the infection still finds itself overwhelmed and starts to rapidly loose ground* It's working. Go! *more switches* *a defensive program is released in 'recovered' areas, helping to boost Glyph's healing and add an extra shield against attacks* *meanwhile, the infection has managed to take down many of the vaccines and red herrings still in its territory, but is still slowly being pushed back* It's not over yet...*the infection manages to gain some ground* Come on..*it slows* ... *it seems to take a splotch by storm* Nononononono!*but the counter-virus seems to take advantage of something and smashes back at the infection* Yes... Come on...*there is a lull as the infection isn't ready to give up yet* *it strains to push back* *it finds itself pressed upon, but still holds its ground* Stubborn... *the counter-virus encroaches, and quickly begins to wipe out what's left* Whew... Almost over. *the infection fights until it's last byte, but in the end, the battle is indeed won* *whew* *sigh of relief* Alright. Let's wheel her back inside and clean up any leftover programs. *the family heads back, relieved that the worst didn't happen, or get close to* *the two bots remove several wires along the way as Glyph's body begins to heal itself without anything holding it back* -*- {Later, back in the house} Wakey wakey~ ((Do you guys want me to post the details of the dice rolls for that epic battle? :U)) ----- Sarrel: Okay, I'm going to give it to you straight. It's one thing to conquer the world or multiple worlds. It's another thing to conquer worlds with a lot of people supporting you along the way. Along with being easier, it's nice to know you're liked and not hated, and you're less likely to be lonely afterword. Taking out a powerful enemy that you have in common is generally a good step in that direction. But, after those little stunts? No one's going to fall for it. *still half-flying, pulling Vice along but going nowhere in particular* Now I don't know my way around here, so you'll need to at least guide me somewhere good. Is there a popular meeting area in this base?[rand=83085340843535961543425938580185249593072431162311584068229422]

Gah- *turns back to normal out of shock as he falls, then goes back into a ball, bracing himself for impact* *blinks a few times as Vice's effects fade away, his gaze soon falling on Ullet* ... Y-you... *quickly glances around as the effects fade away and notices Ullet facing the badly damaged Terra* Sir-! *jets towards Ullet, intending to slam into her* --- *blinks* ...I'm not sure I want to know what that was all about. .__.--- Heh... well, alright... *keeps flicking through the book for a while, until finally pausing at a page and looking through it more thoroughly* ...Hm... this place seems interestin'... ((oh god sorry for taking so long to get around to this x_o Lack of motivation due to lack of sleep and having to work for 12 hours straight every day coupled with drastically cut short internet time does not make for a good combination))

Estrya: {Rare, I think. There are more males at other bases, but from what I hear they're shy. I do know only girls get kidnapped to Sermek, which could be why the population of this base is so unbalanced. I've never actually been in a Rinamian city, so I have no comparison to judge by... Anyway, that's Noah, Swash's doctor. Doesn't come out much... Who told you we were all female?}
((I'm curious about this myself.))
---
Omen: Work together?! Wait, what do you mean we've all been betrayed?
Neretta: If Swash is not controlled by the elf... then we have betrayed her.
Taisean: If mother is herself...
Helvetica: Then we need to find her and apologize for doubting her.
Ginga: *emerges from the floor* Don't forget that even if Swash isn't being controlled by an elf, she's still infected.
Helvetica: *waves a hand* Infections can be fought.
*the male from the hallway slips into the room*
Neretta: *looks at Pallette and Layer* ...Please do not take this the wrong way, as you have proved your worth a great many times over in the short period of time I have experienced with you, but I prefer to keep our problems just that. Our problems. I would rather you leave Swash to us.
Noah: Neretta, you may as well admit that you have a prejudice against aliens.
Neretta: *sighs* Noah.
Noah: I was told our guests were in need of assistance and that I should go deal with the troublemakers. *looks at Pallette and Layer and strokes his chin lightly* I was not aware, however, that the troublemakers were such fine young women.
---
*the Apps lead Phantom to a large disk that's floating a little off of the ground*
App 00: *climbs on the disk and goes over to what looks to be the control panel, tying in information* *center of the disk glows and some of the Apps walk into it, vanishing as they do*
---
{English?}
*a screen pops up with a request from user "OVERRIDE" to share screens*
---
((Heh))
Glyph: *eyes slowly open* Mmm?
((Up to you))
---
Clarendon: *makes a dive for Mercury and misses the first time, grabbing him as she makes a second pass* Okay, so I hate to call of the mission, but I'm afraid warning everyone about Swash is more important. You can choose what you want to do. If you stick with me then I'll watch your back. Heh, we'll be like pack mates. If you want me to drop you off in the city then I'll do that, and if you want to stay here and try to capture Terra then I wish you luck. You may want to find and help those other robots we saw.
---
Swash: .oO(...Sarrel, I know what I'm dong.) *a gust a wind knocks Jupiter away from Ullet* Everyone, wait a moment.
Ullet: *freezes, watching everyone nervously*
Swash: .oO(If I'm going to save my people first I have to save them from themselves. It's time they face reality. It's about time the Rinamian government cut out the crap and tell the truth, and tell it straight. Also, I think you might be driving me crazy. You being in my head is kind of like a soul merge, and soul merges aren't meant to last this long. If two individuals remain soul merged for too long one or both will go crazy or one soul will overpower and devour the other. It's probably why you can't control me. I was made to deal with things like this. That reminds me of something else. Since Digitals and Cyber Elves are so alike, I'm certain we could design bodies for Cyber Elves very easily. I wanted to know what you think of the idea. If the body suffers severe damage then the Cyber Elf can just float away.) *slowly approaches Ullet* I know you're scared. But you shouldn't be. Calm down, young one, and listen to your creator for a moment.
((It's alright, Chloe, good gosh you were working 12 hour days, I do not expect you to come on here and post after that))
---
Vice: *struggling to keep up* The-There's a massive meeting hall that can fit nearly everyone in the base, but I don't remember where it is. We only moved in yesterday! And the base is under lock down, so most everyone is hiding! *eyes widen* Hey-HEY! Stop! We've got to stop! You're a Reploid, so you'll get attacked!
---
Garamond: Well I do. :I Come on, let's meet up with everyone at the place Caslon said to go to. We've got two patients now for Fell to look over >_>;
---
Chancery: Oh? What is it?
*a screen appears in front of them, a stern-looking robot waiting for a moment before speaking*
Chancery: Now I know that face... The name is on the tip of my thoughts.. she's the commander of something or another...
robot: We send this message out to the people of Rinam asking for their attention regarding an event to take place tomorrow. Progenitor Swash will speak for herself regarding the accusations against herself, as will Progenitor Calligraph. Thank you for your attention.
*screen vanishes*
Chancery: Odd...[rand=14596723200068059326586109236561116279662859887780996705643633986]

((I'll move this down when Chloe posts, just workin on the post as much as I can when I can)) ((I know what you mean. I now have a file synchronized across multiple computers, dedicated to writing a post ahead of time.)) {I'm not sure... Maybe I was just under that impression.} ... {I think he's heading for the laser room. Should we go after him?} ((Oh... So there's more than just Kern... I was also under the impression Swash's that doctor was a human or something. Also, the first Noah that comes to mind is this Noah. And to answer your wonderings, observation. X was looking all around the area when he the linked post happened. Subsequent adventures kind of helped ingrain the impression.)) ----- I mean she's not under control, but she's still not herself. She's under some sort of influence, even if she's resisting being completely controlled. .oO (I thought they already knew that...) What I mean is if she were under the Elf's control, than her actions would be as if 'sided' with it, and thus with the other Elves and those they work with. However, she's acting independently, and doesn't appear to care about others unless either she can use them, or they're getting in her way. The Elves can tell you that much that fast? We speak with concepts. Not words. The energy cannot simply be 'fought,' especially once it is inside someone. It is incredibly resilient, and combines itself with its host, while still effectively acting as a catalyst. To my knowledge, nothing can counter it. {Elsewhere...} {Back in the laser room} *was about to reply to Neretta, but Noah interrupted too soon* {Aren't you guys all girls? ... Erm...} *eyebrow raise at Noah that goes unnoticed under her hair* {I'm afraid your problems are already our problems. This Noah is only one piece of evidence.} ... Oh? ... That won't be necessary, sir. *starts lowering, along with the others* ----- *briefly startled and confused as he watches the Apps disappear* ... *walks onto the disk, vanishing as he steps onto its glowing center* ----- ... {The language we're speaking?} .oO (It's probably not someone else who requested a screen-share at the same time...} *accepts* *on Alia's screen, her prepared 'death ping' code can be seen, as well as some of the information she's gathered, a terminal with some commands entered (including a few that gave errors, and one, unsent "root system --gui=false --start") and, of course, the app that she's managed to contact* ----- ... Oh! I think we warned you that the treatment can be intense. I think you're tired because of that. But speaking of the treatment, it was a success. We double-checked your system, and haven't found any signs of the infection. We also left in something that should help you heal. ... We had to leave in the infection-fighting program, which is basically a version of the virus that we changed to target anything that would hurt you. We couldn't make it easily removed because we were afraid the original virus would find out about that feature and exploit it. But the good news is that it should fight off anything that comes along to hurt you later. Unfortunately, it may react badly to any programming updates, depending on what it considers to be an 'attack' on you. I don't think it will react to add-ons as long as they largely their own processes, but it might not like things that try to change your core code. However, while it's not an actual fix, I think it will help prevent negative effects from some existing problems, such as that glitch you warned me about earlier. It should also be able to identify any programs designed to assist you. Overall, I'd say the benefits outweigh the troubles. Basically, I based the dice rolls off of an 'evenly matched' D&D scenario, with 20-sided rolls. Rather than having '10' be the number needed to achieve anything, the roll was a rough 'scale of 1-to-20 on how well any point of the battle goes,' where '1' was 'worst case scenario' and '20' was 'as good as it can get.' I didn't have anything 'pre-scripted' because of the unpredictability factor, and just went with the flow as it went along. The battle started when the released the honeypots (think 'red herrings' that are also traps) and ordinary vaccines, which rolled [17] and [7] respectively. The counter-virus' first strike scored a [3]. [17] was rolled next, which I interpreted as 'everything starting to come together (and taking over a large section, putting the virus at a disadvantage).' The next roll was an [11], and after that point, the fight was almost purely 'virus vs. counter-virus.' The character comments were to help break up the potential boring-ness of the text, and generally set the mood, though here they can help give an idea of what was rolled when. [7] Come on..[9] , [3] Nononononono![17] Yes... Come on...[9] ... [8] ... [11] ... [8] Stubborn... [12] , [19] (enough to wipe out almost all of the remaining virus) Whew... Almost over. [13] (the virus is at a large enough disadvantage at this point to be wiped out by this number) As you can see, I didn't roll any 20's. But thankfully, I didn't roll any 1's either (or 2's for that matter). A '1' (or an error resulting from too many dice-rolls, meaning the battle is getting too long anyway) would have resulted in the virus discovering the weakness of the counter-virus; the virus would disguise itself as Glyph so well that it would confuse the counter-virus, and said counter-virus would have to take it's best guess as to which entity to attack (Glyph would be a potential target for the counter-virus). However, since it had been determined by an earlier dice roll that Glyph would survive, the counter-virus would have chosen the right target anyway. But because no one but Scrac and I knew this, I figured it could still amount to a moment of great suspense. Though even without this result, it felt pretty intense to me. ----- Sarrel: Good luck getting them to see it that way. This isn't meant to be like a merge, or else I think we'd be thinking things together and I don't think even we could tell whose thoughts belong to who, and that would be both weird and creepy. No, instead, we may be living in the same head, but we're two separate entities. Not to say that there isn't still a chance to go crazy, being in the same head...
And no thank you. I don't need a body of my own other than the digital body I already have. I don't have much interest, and I think most Elves would agree.
... Though come to think, you yourself said you may be a little crazy. Is this the best time to talk to your people about that kind of thing? .oO (Sappy... or is the right term 'corny'?) If nothing else, you should be careful..oO (Of course... Meh, whatever works) ----- *gradually slows down to more of a brisk walk, but doesn't stop completely* .oO (Hopefully we've lost her by now, anyway.) So there are no popular meeting places yet... That makes it harder to warn everyone. Why would I be attacked? And what do you suggest we do?

Gah- *momentarily taken by surprise as he lands on the windboard, but soon reforms himself* ...Uh... I'm seriously not sure what to do. I'm not going anywhere near that maniac while he's in the state he's in right now, though. I know he's always hated me, but not to the extent that he wants me dead. I'll admit I was kinda skeptical before, but now I know there's definitely somethin' up with him. --- *blown back by the gust, letting out a squawk* ... *hovers in place and looks at Swash* *looks at Swash and then at Ullet, glaring at her and curling his lip but otherwise remaining where he is, doubled over slightly and sparking in places* --- Yeah... x_o *starts to head off* --- Just this little- *stops as the screen appears, looking slightly confused when it vanishes* ...Uh. What was that all about?
