Not too long ago, the Taco was practically flooded with Cyber Elves. Time went on, and at one point, there was a shift: more and more of the Elves that came were Dark Elves. Nobody was sure what this meant, but it unsettled many.
Then one day, without warning, the Dark Elves began to attack. There didn't seem to be any pattern to destruction: they were just causing chaos, so far as anybody could tell. A number of Dark Elves worked together, emitting the image and voice of a Maverick name Sigma. He announced that he and the Elves were going to take the Forum for their home, and that he would give the inhabitants a fair chance to get out... before he would force them out.
A few began to capture the Dark Elves, sending them to the cage in the CERAC facility. Some tried to fight the Dark Elves back to no avail. In fact, a Reploid names Marino fought them, only to find herself possessed and under their control. At this time, the Maverick Hunters returned from a tiresome and unexpected trip. Zero began fighting Marino... violently.
During this time, due to quick thinking and quicker action, Bettyming created a secondary, spherical, glass, electromagnetic cage to hold Dark Elves without overfilling CERAC. In the meantime, Blue Water of the Niji Chikara, began flying around the Taco and sending the Elves into the new cage. This method proved to be very effective.
Meanwhile. Marino's behavior looked like that of a Maverick. She was pinned down, and there was some discussion of what to do with her. Many feared that she would have to be destroyed, because there was no known way to cure a Maverick, and if a Maverick isn't destroyed, they spread a virus that causes more Reploids to do Maverick. However, someone managed to convince the Hunters to hold Marino captive, to see if someone in the strange, new world of the Taco could cure her.
X was asked to take Marino to CERAC, and as soon as he grabbed hold of her, she began to feel sick. After taking the long walk to CERAC only to find that the facility was stuffed, they began to take the long walk back. For the meantime, X just tried to stay awake and hold her captive in the Taco. Days passed, and X still held onto her, but he was about to collapse from sleep deprivation. Thankfully, the Dark Elf chose that time to leave Marino, not being able to stand the sick and painful feeling anymore. Alia, using a modified de-rezz gun, froze the Elf in place and brought it back to the Hunter Base, where she has been studying it ever since.
After that time, the Taco was repaired, and people went back to their lives. The cage was never moved, as no one was willing to get near it. Over time, people more-or-less forgot about the event, feeling at ease.

Hmph. Our ancestors had tried to be peaceful, and they were rejected. We were left with no other choice.
... *not liking where this is going, so leaves*
*Frowns* Well…
*a 'Crack!' is heard in the corner of the Taco, like a combination between an explosion and glass shattering*
*start flying out of their spherical cage*
…Actually, can we get back to you on that, sir?

*raises eyebrow at the Dark Elves as they fly through* ...Whatever are those?
Think of them as flying explosives, sir.
Yo Scrac :U
...They did? Oh dear. ._.
Aw snaps.
*Somewhere, a Cyber Elf perks up at the sound and flies over to see what's going on.*
*a hole is now on the lower side of the glass-and-wire sphere* *the Dark Elves are mostly coming out of that hole, but are flying out of other points as well* *there are shards of the cage on the ground; they are mostly small and the edges appear to be partly melted* *the edges of the hole also look melted*
Mekino: *Not really liking the conversation either.* Things are as they-- What was that?

Drug 'em all and point and laugh? *Shot.*
*Meanwhile.*
: *Watches with her eyes wide open as the Cyber Elves pour out.* H-how did this happen? *She flits around, looking for the source of the cage's destruction.*
*the hole itself isn't very big, only about 3 feet/1 yard/1 meter across* *There doesn't appear to be anything unusual in the immediate area; unless you count that there is little snow under the sphere, but hey, the sphere itself would have stopped the snow, like a roof or tree*
: ...So the cage couldn't contain them forever... *She rushes over to find some sort of overseer for the CERAC facility.* Hello?! Anyone?!
Something wrong, Amroppe?
: It's the cage! It's... Well, look. *She points over to the cage where Dark Elves are spewing out.*
*by now, the Dark Elves have pretty much all flown out of the cage in the Taco*
Oh dear. It's empty.
: *Nods.* All the dark elves were flying out earlier! They seem to be heading away from the Taco.
... Well, on the upside, that means they aren't rampaging the city. On the other hand, they might be biding their time or something.
: Yes... It could end badly... I wasn't around for when the dark elves attacked though. Why would they--no, anyone--want to attack this place?
((No. But he'd be looking for evidence at least if he can't find any tracks.))
Oh... They said something about being used for too long and wanting a world for themselves, or something along those lines.
: I see... Used how? ...Either way, why hurt others for a world?
*start flying... away from the main square?*
: ? Where is everyone going? *follows curiously*
Din: No! Inaphy! D8 *runs after*
*start dispersing, as they continue flaying away from the Taco*
: Huh....
Din: *catches up* Inaphy, you've got to be careful! Dark Elves are dangerous!
: What is the world I'm from like?
Din: You're from Rinam, Inaphy.
: Before Rinam. The world I came from.
Din: I...don't really know much about it.
Swash:....Sooo...
Din: *turns around* General Swash? Why did you...?
Swash: It was mentioned that those things are like flying explosives. You went running after them, so I decided I should follow just to make sure nothing went wrong.
Din: You were worried about me! *hugs*
Swash: o.o
Din: I knew everyone that called you a heartless monster was wrong.
Swash: Just who has been calling me that? >_>
Din: ^^; Swash, have you met Inaphy, my son?
: Yo.
Swash: Hello. You appear to be like the things flying away.
: I kind of am. They're cyber elves, like me. But I'm a nurse cyber elf, and they're dark cyber elves.
Din: Hm...I wonder how they all got out...
: We can always go check and see.
Din: Let's go, then =) General Swash, will you be coming with us?
Swash:..Mmm. I guess.
*all start heading for the CERAC facilities*
*no one is at CERAC* *however, the cage there is still intact, and all the Elves are still in there – including a ton of Dark Elves*
Din: Everything seems fine here....
Swash: *glances around at all the different Cyber Elves*
*the three head back to the square*
*the Dark Elves seem to outnumber the other Elves by at least 20-to-1, probably more*
*and of course, at the square, people are kinda worried and shaken up*
Swash:...Did you notice the ratios?
Din: Of what? o.o
Swash: The elves.
Din: *thinks back*...Yeah, I guess I did, sort of. Wonder why there are so many dark ones.
Swash: How are elves created?
Din: Through breeding.
Swash: Then the numbers would logically be a bit more even.
Din: Maybe dark ones breed faster? o.o
Swash: I suspect there is some other reason. *goes to inspect the hole in the cage* Someone broke them out. But for what reason? If they're dangerous then the intentions can't be good, based on what facts I have so far.
Din: Well, the last time a bunch of them were free there were attacks on the Taco. Rockwell and I were brought to help keep the hospital safe.
Swash: ....
*I will note that there are mounds of snow around the sphere, due to it falling off the top, making it a bit harder to walk there* *so there's a big ring of snow and then an snow-less inside*
Swash: *floats over the snow and glances at it and at the bottom of the cage*
Din: What are you looking for?
Swash: Tracks. And trying to see if I can identify what broke the cage open. If the elves caused damage last time they were free we should hunt down who ever freed them and get some answers. If they are are planing another attack then we should go to their base and strike before they can finish making their plans, if they haven't finished already.
*in the snow, on the opposite side of the hole, are some fairly big footprints leading up to the sphere*
((No. But he'd be looking for evidence at least if he can't find any tracks.))
((There is a set of tracks that's not coming from the Taco.))
: I see... Used how? ...Either way, why hurt others for a world?
Well... I'm not sure, but if I had to guess... Well, I don't know if you knew this, but a lot of Elves generally can't just hover around someone to use their power. Often, they use all their power at once to heal someone instantly, or to stop time, or something, and since they don't have the power to maintain their bodies anymore, they perish. And they are pretty much subject to both Humans and Reploids. There was even an 'Elf Wars' where a lot of Elves were used in battle. As for the world thing... I'm guessing it's hard to find an inhabitable world that isn't already inhabited.
*by following the tracks, you are led through an empty field and toward a forest* *as you follow the tracks, you could swear that the toe-point is pointing toward the sphere*
--
*there is only one set of tracks, and Swash is already following it*
---
*shrug* Maybe it's like trying to settle with a recent enemy? Conflict fresh on their minds, hard to look at them without remembering... Or maybe they want to clear out the 'taint,' or make sure there's no chance for them to be used again, or something...

Shadow Scout: *Looks up at the robots up ahead as he continues to examine the tracks. He runs up to them.* Are you also on task to find the dark elves?
--
: Ah... There's so much I don't understand about the dark elves. Isn't there a better way?

*shrug* I might know if I knew a bit more. ... So to speak. There's not a lot of solid evidence, yet.
Swash: ....Either their feet are on backwards or this is the path they took to get to the cage. Din, go see where they came from, I'm heading back. They are either still there or left a different way. Contact me if you find anything.
Din: *nods and continues to follow the path*
: *follows Din*
Swash: *hurries back*
*the path leads into a woods, at which point the trail becomes harder to follow, but not too hard*
((*waits on Swash*))
: I see... *She flits back up in the sky to see if she can see anything else.*
((I have to go. Assume the Shadow Scout just keeps scouting.))
Din: *keeps following*
---
Swash: *comes close enough to see Serif* *bleep*...*changes appearance to that of a random human girl and continues on, trudging through the snow back to the cage* *peers in through the hole*
*the path ends at what appears to be a pair of footprints in standing position*
---
*there doesn't seem to be anything unusual inside the sphere, save for some minor, tiny fractures in the glass*
Din: ....*surfs around the area, looking for anything else* Guess they teleported in at this point....
-----
Swash: Hm. *looks around for any other tracks and at the surrounding buildings*
*snow falls off the top of the sphere*
*there don't appear to be any other sets of footprints, nor do the buildings seem odd*
((Anything in particular he's looking for on the buildings?))
((she's looking for disturbed snow or a person))
Swash: *glances over at Serif and ducks behind the sphere before floating up to look at the top of it*
---
Din: *begins trying to trace the teleport, if there was one*
*nothing odd on the top of the sphere; apparently the snow falling was gravity's work*
---
*the teleport signal seems hazy, perhaps exposed to data corruption, but the person definitely teleported to there*
Din: I can't get a clear read on where they teleported from =/ Come on, Inaphy, let's head back.
---
Swash: *looks around for someone to speak to* Does anyone know if there are any cameras that see this area?
Random person: I dunno. I don't work there.
Swash: Who does?
Random person: *shrug* You can go and ask.
Swash: *goes around to the front and looks for anyone who works there* Are there any cameras that watch that area?
Clerk: Not that I know of. We usually try to keep on eye on criminals in our own businesses, not on that eyesore out there.
Swash: In your own business?
Clerk: Yeah, though I can't speak for other businesses, or for employees, customers, kids hanging out...
Swash: Did you see who let the elves out? Do you know of anyone who did?
Din: *goes over the the hole and begins trying to trace the teleport, if there was one*
: *hovers around*
Clerk: Not that I know of. Again, I can't speak for other companies, but we've gotten so used to it being there that nobody looked at it until after the breaking sound.
*there does not appear to be a teleport signal from the hole*
Swash: *nods* Thank you for your time. *notices Din and goes over to her* What have you found out?
Din: *looks over at what fully appears to be some random human female* Pardon?
Swash: It's me, Swash. No way I'm about to let Serif over there see me.
Din: Oh ^^; Um, whoever it was teleported into the woods and came here, and then...they didn't teleport away.
Swash: Okay. I didn't see any tracks leading away, so they either flew away or jumped.
Din: They would have to have really good jumping abilities to do that ._.
Swash: Mm. Depends on the robot. You ask the people around here is the saw anything and if there are any cameras on the spot, I'm going to have a look around on the roofs...And take a picture of those footprints.
Din: *nods and takes a few pictures before going around asking people questions*
Swash: *heads into an alley and jumps between the walls to reach the roof* *looks around on it and down below and at the other buildings*
Hmm... Methinks I'm going to have to draw a few pictures.
