I saw this on another website and thought it was a cool idea, but I'm going to tweak it a bit. The idea was to keep a journal, your own, of one thing you learned everyday, however in this thread, not share it with the rest of the NTWF?
Whether it be something simple such as why the would turns 'round or complex such as the universal theory of everything, post it here. ^__^
Today, I learned that sometimes luck can get you by, but only for a price later on. /Long story.
Soo... what did you learn today?

I learnt that 'xD' apparently doesn't mean what I thought it does. This distresses me.

I learned more mathematical programming methods, including the Euler-Cromer method and the Verlet method of solving differential equations.
I also learned that copy machines can make pages double-sided and can staple them. They're gonna take over the world, I know it.

Tamia -- It works with people holding doors, too. xD
I learned that solar energy could easily run the planet if we started installing solar panels (photovoltaic cells. =D) on roofs and stopped painting roofs black and painted them white instead.

Today I learned about formatting for citing precedent in legal memos. I think. I'll have to see how much of it I remember tomorrow. =D Why would painting roofs white be better? Would it reflect light back onto the solar panels or something?

Would it reflect light back onto the solar panels or something? It would reflect back the heat. That heat would therefore not get into the house, and less energy would need to be used for air conditioning. I think. I leaned that you can survive for more than three months on nothing but alcohol. Go figure.

I learned that there are multiple kinds of widescreen - the difference is in the dimensions (i.e. how wide the "widescreen" actually is).

I learned that I do not, in fact, have the ability to carry three cups of hot coffee at the same time sans handles. Luckily, there were no damages to either me or the coffee.

I learned that leaving cupcakes in the fridge for a week, and then warning it up because it's frozen solid makes them taste nasty.

I learned that apparently, what determines your Chinese zodiac sign has to do with the month and day as well. Apparently, I'm a snake, not a horse. Cue identity crisis!
