A documentary has been made about one of my favorite Philadelphia mysteries. I'm very excited to see what he's found out!

The new movie from Laika (makers of Coraline) has a trailer out now, and I'm pretty stoked to be honest. It looks really cool. Also, good use of a Donovan song.

Ooh, neat. :3 Looks like it could be fun, and the designs are nice.
Also, I know this is really weird coming from me, but I'm sorta' wondering why go for another creepy-themed stop-motion movie? I mean, all the recent stop-motions have been Halloweeny: Coraline, Corpse Bride... heck, even the Wallace and Gromit movie was spooky! And Burton's coming out with Frankenweenie sometime soon (was it next year, I think?)
I'd really like to see stop motion explore more story themes, like Aardman's upcoming Pirates! movie.

Jack and the beanstalk. It's official: Hollywood has run out of things to make into movies.

Jack and the beanstalk. It's official: Hollywood has run out of things to make into movies. Funny. Me and my sister said the same thing last night when we went to see Sherlock Holmes. And fairy tales seem to be really popular this year too. There's two Snow White movies coming out sometime this summer and/or spring.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I think this trailer is filled with about as much preposterone as the title would suggest. :B And I am SO gonna go see it.

This film has an 80% chance of being utterly pretentious twaddle, but maaan. What a gorgeous trailer. It looks like Jodorowsky and Aronofsky had a brain baby.

Hahaha wow. I hope the whole movie is like the trailer. That looks like a heck of a lot of fun. It's like a different sort of take on the heist movie. (Though I guess it can't be called a heist if they're not stealing anything?)

This makes me think of Monsters Vs Aliens in that it's "monsters with normal lives" only using Halloween monsters rather than the 50's B-movie monsters. Nothing that really stands out as new or interesting, really, but I'll probably go in support of Sony pictures. (Also the silhouetted scenes make me really happy.)
My favorite thing really is how Dracula isn't chalk-white. I'm sure it's as much for a technical reason (like good lighting being more difficult for a white surface) as an artistic one, but as a vampire fan it makes me happy. XD
