This is the place to post trailers for upcoming films that look neat, but probably don't warrant their own thread. I'll start! A whole lot of exciting footage came out of this year's Comicon, including a trailer for The Goon!. I don't know if you are familiar with the comic, but it is a delightfully ill punch-'em-up comedy. There's also RED, which looks like a lot of fun. An action role for a woman over 40? That never happens!

That first film looks funny! His eyes creep me out a little... Though this will probably be more of interest to people who have read the book series, this (Guardians of GaHoole film) was the first CGI movie trailer to get my attention based on beauty alone in years - seriously, it was REALLY pretty on the big screen. Looks like a Redwall kind of story with different owls instead of different rodents.

I want to see the movie just for the gorgeous CGI. @_@

Do you remember The Triplets of Belleville? Well, the same director has a new film coming out called The Illusionist.

vimeo.com/16817987My Sucky Teen Romance A scifi/fantasy con full or twilight fans becomes the hunting ground for real vampires. Sounds like a fun premise! It's super low budget, and the director is 18. It could go either way, but I'd like to check it out.

Do you remember The Triplets of Belleville? Well, the same director has a new film coming out called The Illusionist. Oh yay, I loved Triplets. And this one looks just as charming! Though I'm a bit wary of that rabbit. My mom was terribly upset at the frog scenes in Triplets, and since we own three house rabbits, she'd be even more upset if something bad happened to the bunny in the movie. ^^;;;;; Of course, limited-release movies never come within 100 miles of Yorktown (closest is sometimes DC, a 3 hour drive), so I'm going to have to wait to rent it. :/

British sci-fi. Nick Frost is in it. That's enough for me to watch it. XD

Demented looking superhero movie by the guy who made Slither. This could be really fun or completely awful. :x It's playing for a week at the local artsy-fartsy theater, though.

It looks like a bit more of the same thing that Kick-Ass was, but that's not necessarily an entirely bad thing. And. I mean. Nathan Fillion and Ellen Page. In the same movie. Must see yes. <3

Made all the more amazing by the fact that Nigel is voiced by Jemaine Clement, one of the two geniuses of Flight of the Conchords (as I'm sure of a lot of you already know). This song suits him so well. Reminds me of all the other crazy raps he does.
HIPHOPOPOTAMUS, ANYONE
