Making monies is really tedious. D=
If I want to restock well, I have to walk between screens killing monsters over and over again. XD

Some of the monsters look familiar... *scratches chin* Izzat a good thing? ^^ If it is, you'll probably love the next dungeon in Alpha 3. xD; (Do suggestions like this go in the chat thread or the main thread?) Could you add a save point somewhere in Dyre woods, preferably near Rivers' house? It is a bit big. And I just went through a bunch of it, getting the dust and everything, and shortly thereafter the game crashed on me. Also, Joseph's talk when you're about to head into woods, while it may not be very important, is still pretty long (even he admits it). Could you add the option to skip it? It also occurred to me that a fruit, which heals about 50 HP, costs more than a night's rest at the inn. Same with the eggs. ...What exactly is the logic behind that? On a more random note, I thought of a very plausible recipe in the game. You can sleep in Rivers' bed, which acts as a save point. ^_^ Good point about Joseph's talk. I can add the ability to skip that. =3 Woohoo, baked eggs! =D I could make that one of the possible recipes. The last thing I was working on before I went to the airport, actually, was the cooking menu for Terris Town. Once I implement it, you'll be able to make things such as potions for your bottle(s), and corn bread from the corn you can "steal" from the crop fields around the town. xD The cost of cooking will be expensive in the beginning, but by the time you've gained the second Soul Gem and done some more exploring, it's much more affordable. Making monies is really tedious. D= If I want to restock well, I have to walk between screens killing monsters over and over again. XD That reminds me! I shall increase the drop rate of ore for breakable objects. That way, if you're in need of moneys, cutting up bushes and smashing rocks would be a better bet than killing monsters. Vice versa for EXP, of course. =3

So you can steal the corn? =D How? I was hacking away at the stalks... in vain. XD Some of the monsters look familiar... *scratches chin* Izzat a good thing? ^^ If it is, you'll probably love the next dungeon in Alpha 3. xD; Yeah, 'tis a very good thing. X3

You can sleep in Rivers' bed, which acts as a save point. ^_^ …Huh. Maybe you can add a way to make that more apparent? Maybe Rivers could say 'If you need a quick rest, you can use my bed,' or something like that. I have successfully moved to my new apartment in Sweden with Leoness, and we're trying to downgrade my laptop from Vista to XP so that I have two operating systems to test the game on. Once all of that has been taken care of, then it's back to work. =3 I'll keep you posted. Tell Leo 'hej' for me. *only Swedish she knows at the moment is from CaramellDansen*

I've increased the drop rate considerably in the next patch, and replaced some of the corn fields with wheat fields. ^^ You can sleep in Rivers' bed, which acts as a save point. ^_^ …Huh. And Leo says Hej and thinks it's cool that you know some Swedish. =3 One thing's for sure... I don't. xD;

I don't really have problems getting monies and shinies... However, I do notice that after the second dungeon, I'll always end up with just enough for the inn and the following lessons, and then be flat broke.
I went over to the corn stalks... Should it really take 6 hits to cut one down? Sure, I tried it with a lower-level Ikkin, but that's quite durable.
And I'm totally not a thief! *Hides the basket of corn behind her back.*
Also, at some point in time, I'm gonna get Linux onto my laptop. I have Vista right now, but I'm curious as to how it runs on Linux, given some of the other posts.

I can't cut the corn stalks down at all...

... Really? I seem to cut them down just fine, even if it takes awhile. (My level 8 Ikkin can cut them down in 4 normal hits.) And we don't get yelled at for stealing the corn. > ...Meanwhile, I'm having trouble figuring out who's what species. >.> I've figured out a few (the easy ones), but some of them I just can't determine.

I don't know how you people got through that first cave place so easily...
I keep dying cheaply. Those monsters do insane damage, and Ikkin is slow. XD (either that, or my controls are seriously laggy. XDXD) ... and I don't have a lot of money, so restocking is practically impossible... unless I wander in between screens killing monsters/random bushes for hours to scrape up enough cash... which I don't want to do. XD

XD *scratches chin* You're the first person to mention anything about the game's difficulty, other than Goosh who had problems fighting Derec. Two possibilities: 1. What are Ikkin's stats like in your game? If you're not putting points into Defense, monsters will pwn you majorly. That MapleStory tactic of putting all of your points into one or two stats doesn't quite work here. 2. If your stats are okay, then I wonder if the lag you're getting might be making the game harder than it normally is... Would you happen to know how many FPS you're getting, roughly? Whoo, I remember you showed me this a while back! =D It's really sweet, especially considering that you made it before I even released the game to the public. Good jorb! ^_^

You can put points into stats? *facepalm* That'd be my problem, then.
Nowhere in the game does it mention that you can do such a thing...
(ps: MapleStory's stat system is messed up garbage. No other games work like that, ever. XD)

I mentioned in a few places that I hadn't included a tutorial on using stat points, and that i'd make one in the future. ^^; Perhaps so players get the hint, I could have Ikkin continuously say something to the player until they spend her points. (That's true about MS. xD; D'oh geeeez.) EDIT: Why am I on Leonessy's account? o.o Pffth... stupid browser cookies.

Even if just a random NPC says "hey, your stat points, THEY EXIST. USE 'EM." somewhere early in the game, it would help. XD
