Three men walk into a motel, a room costs 15 dollars, so each man pays 5 dollars, when they get up to their room the manger decides to give then a discount. So he sends his kid up with 5 dollars, but the kid dosen't know how to split 5 dollars between three people so he gives them each a dollar and puts the other 2 in his pocket. so each man paid 4 dollars and the kid has two. 4x3=12+2=14Where's the other dollar? Doctor plushie for first correct answer. I've done this before. I know I have. X.x; Let's see. The guy at the front desk still has ten dollars, the kid has two, and each guy has three... that still adds up to 15. So the guy at the front desk has the extra dollar. Because after they got a refund of a dollar each, the kid has to carry the two dollars back down (pah. he'll keep it. XD ) and give it to the hotel clerk. The hotel clerk now has-- wait a second, that answer isn't right! I got it now! The figuring of math is wrong, because the 2 dollars the kid has is part of the 12 dollars they payed. So you have to add in the 3 dollars they have, not the 2 the kid has. So the extra dollar is in the possession of one of the dudes! O.o;

NOOOO! I GET IT!!!!! Well, I did! Everything was crystal clear for a minute..... But now I still semi-get it! When the kid brought back 5 dollars, that meant the guys didn't exactly pay a certain amount each. They each payed three dollars and then there was a dollar left over. Then the kid gave a dollar to each guy, so 3 dollars, and then the two for the kid ... so each guy originally payed 3 which makes 9, but then there was 1 left over, each guy got a dollar back which makes 3, and then the kid kept 2! That makes 9 from the guys originally, 1 left over, 3 the guys got reimbursed for, and 2 the kid kept! 9+1+3+2=15! Yahaha! Or does that make any sense to anyone except for me? Or does it even make sense to me? ....
