We let the plot go the way it goes, no reason to decide now what actually happens when the Mages walk in. I'm assuming they come to us, anyway, because if we're in Mage Manor and a fight breaks out, we're dead. >.>
And going back to the two threads thing: The pirates do it sort-of the other way around. A lot of significant information is kept in the first few posts of the sticky thread, and all discussion is done in the sticky thread, and all joining is done in the sticky thread. Then other canon that isn't quite so important like the detais of the Blarf and the Weewoo are done on seperate threads. I think that system works pretty well. I don't think having random bits of info thrown through this thread should be a problem, because if it needs to be in this thread, it can be moved to the very start of it - though really, that kind of information doesn't come up that often in discussions. The bits of information that drop down the pages are random bits of canon that people only need to look up on occasion.

Mmkay guys, time to bring up something that's kinda important. Quoting Hunty:
Now, fact is, Toka's not been on for a while. In fact, going by his last log on date, he doesn't even know we're planning an RP with the Mages. Soo... we pretty much need a new leader.
I'd be happy to do it, but if someone else wants to, then we'd better have a vote on it. That said, we don't want this to drag on too long, so if you do want to do it, you'd better put your name forward soon.

Well, thing is, I didn't try to be the leader (Don't wanna be a leader of anything. =P) but I tried to do a few organizational things and people argued and the whole thing scaled into a debate that ended up being pointless and needlessly upsetting me (I was having a fragile day) so I sorta lost motivation for this guild. I want to help but ...
Scar and I are still going ahead with the steampunk comic but I've got him doing a more important job currently and we're having an RP with the mages come the end of GW. Also, Scar and I are devising a generic map for Brassport. I also have another idea which I was planning on posting about once my exams are out of the way.
Long story short, I will help this guild as much as I can, be as active as I can, but the moment something turns into an argument, I'm gone until its over. Its too hard for me with all the stress at the moment to deal with superficial hissyfits.

... I'm not active enough here to volunteer myself for that position. xD; I'm going to attempt to play a more active role, here, though. ^^; I don't know much about the Guilds and the Guild Wars, and that's kind of been holding me back (I really should catch up. Maybe I'll read through the history this weekend. but I am interested in participating. Speaking of which, I should probably get around to typing up that persona I've had in my heads for months now. I'm not leader material. ^^; So I'll just wait for a list of names to show up, and I'll vote.

I would do it, but I'm all ready being the active leader of the Ninjas, since Vyt hasn't been around the guilds for some time now. And even with that I've been real lazy ;_;
As for the arguments... I can't help it ;_; I like to voice my opinion to much, and that usually goes against someone...

But I'm afraid I'll say something that conflicts with GUILD WAR CANON, PAGE SIX, PARAGRAPH A HUNDRED AND FOUR, LINE THIRTY TWO or something like that. D: (Plus, it would be good to get a good idea of who everybody is, and it'd probably give me a much better insight on how the guilds work...) In other news, character, ahoy! She's sort of more clockpunk than steampunk but hey why not combine the two? Name: Delilah "Del" Blackburn
Age: 14
Appearance: Short and scrawny. Light gray eyes. Pale and freckled. (You can tell what season it is by looking at Del's face. Winter, there's just a light sprinkle of freckles across her nose, since she spends so much time inside, which makes her even paler. Come summer, her face explodes into freckles.) Long black hair, slightly wavy. She enjoys putting it up in various hairstyles, a different one every day, although always with the same yellow ribbon. (Simple black hair ties are used when needed, e.g. for pigtails, one will be tied with the ribbon, the other with a hair tie. It's an odd look, usually lopsided. It also happens to be her favorite and most frequent style.) Del really likes her hair.
Clothing: Whatever's in fashion at the moment; Del likes to follow trends. She prefers grays and blacks to browns and other colors, though. (She likes the way it contrasts with her yellow ribbon, which is the only constant part of her outfit.) Del supports the trademark pair of the clunky goggles, which she believes is a must in Brassport, although she tends to wear them around her neck instead of across her head.
History: Delilah comes from a rather wealthy family - long line of merchants who paved their way into good fortune by selling deluxe trinkets to the rich. As the middle child, she was never expected to take up the family business and thus was free of the pressure, free to choose whichever path she desired. Her affluent roots are the only we she manages to afford her ridiculous wardrobe changes.
Del moved to Brassport when she was five. She had always shown a fondness for puzzles; her favorite thing to do as a child was to take pens apart to see how they worked. Her family viewed this as an odd, sometimes endearing, increasingly annoying habit of hers; they had no idea her quirky hobby would turn into an obsession. It started one afternoon - Del was about seven at the time - when the business received a shipment of very expensive clocks, whereupon a dozen or so were defected. They called in a watchmaker to fix them, and little Del watched him tear the clocks apart, put them back together, and get them working again in fascination. After a while, she had been staring too long to ignore any longer, so he jokingly asked if she'd like try and fix a clock. To his surprise, she sat down, took a clock, tore it apart, and did exactly that. With help, mind you. While Del exhibited a natural instinct for knowing how the pieces fit together, that didn't stop her from asking "What's this for?" and "What does that piece do?" With the watchmaker guiding her, she managed to flick to intricate clock. She then proceeded to help him with the other broken clocks. At the end of the day, the watchmaker offered her an apprenticeship. While her parents were hesitant, Del was very vehement towards the idea, and accepted on the spot.
Del spent years learning the tricks of the clockmaking trade. Her family was reluctant over her choice of trade at first, but after taking her skills home and using it to fix any defective products - clocks, watches, musicboxes, so on - they lost all doubts. After her teacher admitted there was nothing more he could teach her, she moved on to steam machinery. The intricacy she learned from clockwork addled her, at first, since steam mechanics are an entirely different world. Later on, however, the attention to detail and ability to work with tiny pieces came in handy, giving her a unique perspective towards engineering. While she loves her new trade, it doesn't give her much chance to work with clockwork, which she finds much more challenging in comparison. So she dabbles in clockwork in her spare time; her room is filled with old watches and musicboxes.
Delilah considers herself a mechanic, not an inventor. While she assumes she'd be perfectly capable of creating her own machines, she prefers fixing things to making them. (This is insecurity on her part. She's able to pick out what is wrong and how to fix it, but she fears that if she makes something from scratch, it wouldn't work.)
Del currently works as a call-in mechanic, doing wandering jobs and the occasional errand for her old teacher. She's started studying zeppelins, although she doesn't grasp the concept quite as easily as she does machines. She's always regarded the zeppelins with child eyes - dreams of flying and such - and aspires to work on one one day.
Personality: Naive and eager to please, Del is still in that awkward sort of stage where she isn't quite sure who she is yet. She supports the demeanor of someone who was used to always getting what they wanted in the past, but is slowly maturing. Can be materialistic. An idealist, Delilah has trouble accepting the harsher aspects of reality. Very sociable. Del likes getting to know people. She'll talk to anyone, even those that radiate the 'talk to me and you'll die' aura. (Del isn't known for her street-smarts, although she can be surprisingly perspective at times.) She goes into motormouth mode when she gets nervous. Despite her affinity with machinery, she has difficulty explaining what she does, and tends to avoid expositions.
A mechanic, Del prides herself in being able to fix anything. She prefers tinkering with machines over creating her own inventions. Del has an exasperating habit of taking other people's creations and tearing them apart, insisting she can make them better. She's a perfectionist when it comes to her work, and can get completely sucked in without even noticing. A bit of an airhead when it comes to everything else, however.
Weapons: None. Delilah doesn't like the idea of being armed. Although when push comes to shove, she is quite adept at makeshift weapons.
Abilities: Nothing particularly exceptional. Del has no magic running through her veins, although she does sort of have a sixth sense when it comes to knowing how machines work. She posses keen eyesight, able to spot things from great distances, although she mainly uses it to her advantage when dealing with clockwork and other small machinery, as well as excellent motor skills, although she doesn't consider either very special, just useful.

Well the only important Guild War to Steampunk, is the recent one III Since it's when Brassport first made it's appearance. Before that, it was in another dimension, and we don't know a whole lot on it since I believe Toka was making it up as he went

As for the arguments... I can't help it ;_; I like to voice my opinion to much, and that usually goes against someone... Oh, no voicing an opinion is great. I like to discuss and debate. Its when things get personal that I won't stand for it. The whole "I think you're wrong and I won't listen to you and give your opinion a fair chance oh and by the way I'm awesome" sort of thing that I despise. Anyway, I figure I'd better get some ideas on my event concept. I thought about having a contest for inventors. Any Steamhead can join and submit any type of invention (in any format like art, writing, RP, or even a photo of a craft) and the winner ... well I haven't figured that part out yet. xD Ideas? Opinions?

The plan sounds like a good idea. I kind of stink at all of those fields, but I think I can figure something out. I all ready created several things in GWIII, even if two of them were destroyed ;_; Poor Gil when he finds out his last airship was crushed by a building... This could be interesting to see what other people outside the guild can create to. Since we don't really NEED to have it steam powered It's just one of the most important things in Steampunk, hence the name >.> But there are a lot of other strange Steampunk creations out there.

I'd vote for Jina so far. While my character is connected to Brassport, it's only on a sub level, due to interest and love for mechanics and science. She's not present enough to even consider leadership. Being a medic takes most of her time.

Don't worry too much about it. xD If anybody notices something wrong, it's not too difficult to change or handwave, and if nobody notices, it's either not wrong, or not major enough to care. xD The guildworld is big, so it has contradictions in places anyway. By the way, could you (and anyone else reading this who hasn't done so) copypaste your persona onto the General Guild Persona Thread? It just makes it easier on anyone that needs to look it up. I know of a couple of all-guild events coming up, so it might better to keep it Steampunk only. But it could work either way, really.

The whole "I think you're wrong and I won't listen to you and give your opinion a fair chance oh and by the way I'm awesome" sort of thing that I despise. If that was to happen, you can count on me to show up, and then things will get, as it were, mildly unpleasant. Forum rules apply in the guilds as much as anywhere else. As for canon, that's what this subboard here is for. A whole lot of it still isn't written down, and the bits that are aren't complete and may contradict old canon, and if it's not written down in the subboard, it's technically fair game to change. So in theory any newbie can go through the subboard threads - or at least relevant ones - read whatever's written in here and enter the guilds based on that, and if they end up contradicting something that took place in some old RPs but didn't get documented, it'd then be our fault for not writing it down, not theirs.
