I was originally told it should be two spaces, then that when using full justification in a word processor it shouldn't, and eventually that on the web the extra space was likely to vanish anyway.
I never got into the habit of doing two. I did use a typewriter once upon a time, but most of the time it was an old, stiff model and I was small enough that I had to think about pretty much every keystroke--I didn't have enough hand strength to develop habits!

Two for me. I like more space, it's visually appealing to me, and that was how I was trained. >__> I dunno if I could switch the habit at this point. XD

Two spaces. If I see one space, I have to change it. >__> I can't stand there only being one space after a sentance. It just seems... like a run on sentance, because there's always one space between words. It's not like I took a typing class or something... I guess I always just thought it was the right thing to do. It's ingrained in me. XD Exactly! I was taught to use two spaces by my mom (who did take typing class), but even while not on a typewriter (which, I do occasionally use when filling out a form or something, so it would probably be bad for me to fall into a habit of a single space because then I'd be using a single space on a typewriter) I use two spaces. Even when writing by hand I'll try to include more space between my sentences than between words. I've noticed that sometimes, especially when reading quickly, I can accidentally miss punctuation, so it helps to have two spaces between sentences, otherwise I might thing that two sentences are actually a single sentence. There's nothing "wrong" with using two spaces, it is not technically 'incorrect'. I actually prefer it, if only for clarity. I don't see any real, logical reason why the forums have to reduce all spacing (discluding paragraphs, of course) to a single space, especially since it can get in the way of ASCII art. *coughthathappenedtomeoncecough*

I use one space because I was never really taught two spaces. I heard it once or twice, but never really all that much. I guess that because I have read so many different styles of writing, I have just adjusted myself into semi-paying attention to punctuation. Sometimes I get going real fast though, and forget something here or there.

I guess I use one space. I'm really not entirely sure. I've never heard of people using two spaces.

If you want to get a story published in real life I heard that you have to use two, so I've been using two ever since. My keyboarding class also taught me to use two, and now it's gotten to be that every time I put spaces behind a period, putting just one seems weird.

I put one.
I knew people put two sometimes, though, since my mom does it. :P

Usually I use one space. But I only do the two-space thing when I'm writing a paper that has a minimum page limit...
