*revive*
Strengths:
--I am often able to know my characters well, and thus portray and develop their personalities. This is also a reason for good dialogue between my characters. --I'm very good with plots ;D.
Weaknesses:
--I make too many mistakes while writing, and don't even realize it. --Sometimes, my writing is boring, repetitive, or too descriptive.

I think I'm pretty good at coming up with ideas for stories. My big problem, though, is that I rarely ever actually finish my stories. I have a good idea at the beginning, but I can't keep it going. My other big weak point is that I tend to use way too much dialogue. I'll write a whole page and then realize there's been almost no action whatsoever, just conversation.

Yay! Here goes...
Writing Strengths: I think I'm pretty good at coming up with plots and getting to know my characters, their history, and their world. And I think my characters are pretty good, too (Heh, modesty). They're neither all-good or all-bad (unless they're meant to be like that), and both heroes and villains have some dark and light qualities to them. Weaknesses: Too many to list. -_- For one, I can rarely get stories fully finished (that one short story I have is a miracle in itself). My description has been praised before, I think, but it usually comes off as flat. And as for filling in gaps to actually complete the story, and making decent dialogue...*sighs* Yeah. But I'm working on it.
Art Strengths: Um...do I have any? XD I would suppose that my use of color (?) would count... I can animate, which is a plus. ^^ I can use several mediums... I like staring at my sketches from time to time. (Is that a strength?) And I'm developing a style of my own. Weaknesses: WAY too many to list. XD Mainly, I have a lack of patience. Anyone who knows me can confirm this--I cannot wait long enough on a piece to make it detailed and pretty and all that. I want it done NOW. I also cannot fully do shading or highlights, and forget anatomy--I've gotten better, but I still have a ways to go... And I can't draw anything on command unless I've drawn it a billion times before, and I seem to lose a skill if I don't use it. Which means I usually can't draw something I drew a month ago (or more) and if I switch mediums, it's hard to switch back. Not to mention I'm SLOW... Maybe it's all part of being a developing artist. xD

Strengths:
- I never stop thinking, giving me the advantage of having unending amounts of stuff to put into my stories. I also run through the same scene about a million times in my head, giving different dialog, different motions, etc to different characters, adding and subtracting characters and generally messing around until it has been done to the most perfect death I can come up with. I also never get bored.
- Freaky-good memory for things I've read. So I can usually know without checking if my idea's been done before. At least, I can if I've read it.
- I can have a perfect image of what I want in my head. And it stays there for future reference. And if that doesn't work, I can draw it out. In either case, I can write and rewrite until everyone else has just as good an image.
Weak:
- I either use too much or too little description.
- Sometimes; waaaaayy too much dialog. The people will just stand there and talk for page upon page.
- I have plot point A and plot point B, the knowledge that character A needs to get from point A to point B within this amount of chapters, but have no idea how to manage it and wind up having character A meeting up with characters B through Z before finally getting to point B after fifty chapters.
- EVERYTHING I put in my stories is extremely well thought-out... but extremely complicated. If I were to write out all the relevant details about how magic works, the different races and subraces, the different societies WITHIN the races and subraces, what the heck half the stuff I say means and what the HECK is a Blackeye, it would take up an insane amount of pages. In fact, next time I'm at the dollar store I'm gonna pick up a notebook JUST for writing down all this stuff to prove it.
-All these long complicated things take all this explanation that I want to do RIGHT AWAY, but before I do that I have to make it come up in casual conversation between the characters... which takes ages to set up and I'll dump an entire chapter to the reader containing nothing more than the events leading up to finding out why Wish has four shoulder blades.
-I cannot draw snouts for the life of me. I'm gonna hafta tie the cat to the floor sometime so I can get a decent look at her face...

Well, I haven't been writing for a long time, but I'll try to put something here. Strengths: When I'm really into a story, I never stop writing it, even in my head. Whenever I can I pick up a piece of paper and a pen to make additional notes or just continue where I left off at the computer. Pieces of my story are getting spread all over the house. I also like complicated plotlines and unexpected turns, although I don't know if they're any good. I haven't got many reviews yet. Weaknesses: I guess verbs. I can't really use enough different verbs in a conversation to make it less plain. Anyway, please read my story so I can find more of my strengths and weaknesses.

In writing, my strengths are the story. xD I make a very good story.
Weaknesses are the characters. I'm always worried I haven't expanded enough on them, or that they're there just to push the story along.
Art: My strengths are... I don't have many strengths or weaknesses. xD I'm -good-, but not good enough. That's all.

This is interesting! I've never really written this all down before. StrengthsI grow attached to my characters, and I feel that they are realistic and fairly well-developed. I try to make them simple and relatable, yet flawed and imperfect. I portray most emotions well. WeaknessesI find it hard to put together a coherent plot that spans a long period of time and many settings. That's probably why I write very basic, emotional short stories. I have trouble making my descriptions the right length and working them into the flow of the story. I do not transition well. Especially when there is not a high level of emotion or any major action taking place, I find it very difficult to portray daily and routine events. There is very little downtime in my stories, often none. I am not the best at injecting humor and breaking up long stretches of similar tone. My characters' dialogue is sometimes forced and unrealistic. I do not narrate events well through "telling" and yet am not the most skilled at "showing". Relating to the above, my writing is not as visual as I would like it to be. Rather, it relies heavily on interior conflict and mental monologue more than the outside settings. ...I'm sure there's more than I'm not thinking of. Hopefully I can come back to this thread in a year and say that I have improved.

I could have sworn I had already posted here, but I guess not. o_0
The Good: -I'm very happy with the writing style I've fallen into. Typically it has a slightly sarcastic overtone, exaggerates things, etc. Sometimes it makes for an effect something along the lines of "humerous non-humor." -I think I usually do a decent job of writing balanced amounts of detail.
The Bad: -My stories are nearly always plot-driven, which can sometimes lead to underdeveloped and unrealistic characters. -My plots occasionally get too complicated, leading to small portions of unresolved plot. -I overuse certain words far too much. -Too much dialog at times.
The Ugly: -When writing, I have a tendency to typo or write things incorrectly, then not catch the mistakes later.

I've been told that when I write in a first-person narrative I can project a pretty good "voice" of that character.
Weak points? Elaboration. Even in essays in school, I usually get to the point and get on with it.

i'll just do it with my stories. i cant think of anything related to art right now. kinda like an artist block. strength7. I like developing my character in a unique way - through their thoughts. 7. The humor I add into my stories seem to stand out and that is what makes readers enjoy them more. 7. My ideas are simply neverending. 7. I can start a story or article pretty nice and smoothly. weakness7. I suck at wrapping up stories. 7. My writing is usually confusing. 7. The overall writing is just sloppy. Things just happen one after another and the reader usually gets lost. 7. I can't come up with good names. 7. My writing style is quite repetitive.
