Zari sat down, exhausted. Holly climbed up a tree and promptly fell out, rubbing her head and cursing in english, Krahian, and what sounded suspiciously like total nonsense. Zaha watched them both, amused. 'So...how's things at home?' 'Patern got rid of his whole monarchy idea. So he and Materne are back to being Alsheveen, and since you've gone and your the oldest, there was a vote for sucessor. Rosa's face- oh, it was so funny when she got no votes except those few who valued money more than fair's fair.' 'So who's Up for Alsheveen now? Materne and Patern are nearly retiring age.' Zari leaned against a rock. Holly swallowed. 'Me.' she rested her head on her knees and looked over at the remaining carnage, a few shadows lying beaten on the ground, blood, the noises of those who are making sure those they love are alive and well. 'You'd do well. You're fair. You know what war's like. Your responsible...Me, I'm too...I don't know.' 'Be an optimist. You've got a much bigger "family" than I could hope for. You and the Knights.' Holly smiled suddenly. 'But I cannot stay. Now those four have got off their high horses, things may be tolerable.' 'I'll be sorry to see you go. But- Send them all love from me, okay?' Zari turned to look at Holly, but she'd already stood and taken off, a green splash against the orange dawn sky.
-- ((so yeah. Holly won't be in the next GW. And...I'll be controlling 10 characters, oh joy.
For anyone who saw the other half of this post, YOU SAW NOTHING.))

Nature found herself in the battlefield, debris and smoke all around her. Looking for someone familiar, she spotted a face which she knew so well - someone whose pet Phoenix was her pet Dragon's pet peeve.
"Ikkin!" she cried. She, with her Elvish dragon, Seline, ran toward the figure. She was desperate. What was going on? the Zafara could only wonder. She was only new in this war - signed up to support the mages - and she was only an amateur Freezemancer. what was she to do? Ice magic, freeze ray guns, Arnis equipment and an Elvish dragon wasn't enough. She needed help, hope, courage - everything.
As she looked around, a raspy voice called.
"Hello, filthy mage . . ."
Before she could react, Nature found herself with a ninja sword near her throat. She looked toward the figure with confusion. "W-who are you?" she asked with great fear.
Before the ninja could attack, Nature got her Scroll of Ice, chanted an old spell, and froze the ninja, sword still pointed.
Nature quickly inched away from the frozen attacker. and without another word, she ran towards what she thought was Ikkin and her phoenix, Sev.

((um, Nature, the war's kinda over. ; The bad guys have all died/left and the guilds have pretty much made up. You might want to wait until Guild Wars 2 comes out, whenever that is.))

((2,400th post!))
As the last knot was tied on Omni's makeshift bandages, Omni reached and gave Ikkin another hug, wrapping her wings around Ikkin, as well as her arms. She muttered a quiet "Thank you", for not only the bandages, but much more. She felt Ikkin's aura, it was almost as if it was surrounding her, recognizing the various features that made it Ikkin's. The strong sense of fire, the sense of air, the hint of Sev's energy... Though she thought she felt something new. Just what is that? She decided to let it go for now, she didn't need to know what it was to tell that it was Ikkin and not just something in Ikkin's form. She let go of Ikkin, looked at her and smiled at her friend. Her friend who she knew had come back.
((Come on guys, lets get this thing finished.))

Am I missing anything?)) ((You know, that's a good question. There's not a whole lot left to be done, but it seems like there should be something else. ...A funeral scene maybe?)) ((Seeing as I began this I might as well end it. With most of the other conflicts and actions tied up, I might be able ot make an end for the first ever Guild Wars.
Great job everyone! Kit, Ikkin, Wolf, Keng, Zari, Omni, Pyro, Tamia, Kat, Frozen, Rider, Fj0rd, Salamander, Kitty, Ginz, PFA, Tirilia, Trilly, Psycho, Zylaa, Cyri, Komori, Nox, Scar, Shade, Fortune, Emma, Hunty, Goosh, Aeri, Vyt, Cyborg and anyone else I'm missing....THANK YOU!!!!!!
After many months, much hard work, excessive planning, vocabulary-butchering, and thesaurus-reaching we can put this to an official rest. I love you guys (platonically, except for Wolfy) so much for doing this and making an awesome plot come to fruition.
Now it ENDS.))
The blood on the floor of the Mage Manor was thick and stained the stones heavily. Yet there was much more lifeblood spilled upon the enchanted ground outside. Sharp sword and battered shield strewn around were very hard not to step upon. And as the soaked fields were swept away by the healing rains, it became a cold day for the lost souls. The loss of life was unexpected, to say the least. Many were appalled at the names on death row. But everyone expected the death of the great enemy they fought gainst.
The news spread quickly, on the battlefield, of the courageous and valiant act of slaying the pompous General Barak Draymon. The General's face would be remembered most by those who had witnessed the atrocities of his Shadow Minions. Shadow after shadow bled fog into the air until it was very much like night all over again. The second the General's black spirit was set forth into the Afters, there was a magnanimous plume of smoke which took many moments to clear. There was little celebration of victory however.
Not many could realy say there was a victory at all. Guild fighting against guild only to discover they were pawns in a plan for an all-out war. Pirate against ninja...Mage against pirate...Knight against knight. It was a very sad time. The burials were the hardest of them all however. Caring, compassionate animals...noble, intelligent people...creatures of powers unimaginable...all of them suffered the pain of either death or injury. Misery & Malice really had followed them in the end.
When everything was said and done, each guild left to their respective lands, mourning for the unnecessary deaths. Treachery beyond all was a low blow to them. Who could have come to darkness that far that they would sell their King and country to a dictator with delusions of grandeur? Many more battles and losses would be counted in the history books because of this Shadow Master's grave acceptance of power. Freeing evils long forgotten, there really was no end to it.
Yet when everyone thought that this was all tears and bloodshed, it became something of hope. New alliances were brought about by this. Comradery was spread like wild fire through the field of battle. War of Enemies was changed into an Alliance of Allies. The magic of a mage was used to make the armour of a knight unbreakable. The craftiness of a pirate was used to make sure the arrows blotting out the sunrise was kept at bay from the ninjas.
These random acts of kindness fueled future friendships. King Wolf of Dunburrow declared a union of peace and tranquility for the long-rivals of the Ninjas and Pirates. All animosities and rivalries were forgotten...until Rider ran out of rum & sake. The Mages agreed to keep a coexistance with both the Ninjas and Knights. These four powers that be were finally brought together to make a better system of settlement.
Romances seemed to develop quickly out this. Among them were Sir Kit and Lady Ikkin. Companionship followed suit through one Pyro and Zari. They were best of friends. One would make a joke adn the other would burninate. And although tw obrothers lost each other for a long while...they were eventually reunited. Wolf was able to find a way to bring Shin oback as he used to be. Although now he seemed to like to sport a scruffy soul patch. Wolf was okay with this only because he was thinking aobut a kingly beard.
A finality was brought to the lands. A long-awaited end to the great story of the first Guild Wars. What could become a deterrant from this harmony? One watching far above the NTWF knew. Perhaps a new adventure lies in store for the Knights, Ninjas, Pirates, and Mages. Only time can tell the new story of valor, truth, and the American Stalian way.THE END

*massive applause* Awesome. (And just over five months from when Zari first said we should wrap it up.) And ya know, I just had this amazing idea for an ending today. I'll post it, because it's just too wonderful to pass up. >_____> As the NTWFers rejoiced, Deux ex Machina the horse, unnoticed, trotted to a nearby hill, then turned back to look down on the forumers, united in joy. He struck a pose, which is fairly easy to do as a stallion, and summoned a breeze to blow his mane back impressively. "Farewell, forumers," he intoned. "In times of peace, there is no need for a deux ex machina, and so I shall depart. But never fear! If war breaks out again in the fair land of NTWF" - and yes, he managed to pronounce it as one word, even though it is all consonants- "and you should need a deux ex machina, never fear, for I shall come to your aid!" So saying, he reared up onto his hind legs, posed there for a second, and then turned and galloped off into the sunrise. All was well.

Post by Vyt: Down, but Not Out on Nov 22, 2007 2:21:12 GMT -5
((I felt that a spoiler for Cat Assassin's upcoming role in the next Guild Wars is necessary. I hope you all don't mind. )) Alone again in his own home, Cat Assassin went to his daily maintenance, checking every weapon and ammunition for any defects. Satisfied by the gradual fewer frequency of chronological damage, he glanced at the sole window of the room. A gentle breeze started to fill the room with its cool approach, bringing irony to the four grey walls that surrounded the feline. Cat Assassin then turned around, only to be greeted by a very familiar blade atop the brown table. It was a plain old dagger, but its white handle was decorated with thin strings of gold-brass alloy. Black stains could be seen on its iron blade, hinting the fact that they had already made uncleanable marks. The dagger was the same one Vyt used in his last battle. Instead of the usual depression he'd experience, Cat Assassin let out a rather comfortable sigh. His red eyes sparkled with hope and optimism, not letting the Guild Wars go against his new way of perceiving life. Seeing that his daily chores were done, he headed for the door. Before the only way inside the storage room closed, there was a glance of a big tube filled with green substance. What seemed to be a cat ear managed to appear briefly before the door was shut.
