So I dreamed I was back at childhood home and... various little things were happening, mainly reminiscent of things that didn't actually happen.
First, my older sister was talking to me and she reminded me that I owed her $20 for some reason. So I went alright, I'll go into my secret stash (that isn't actually there anymore) and give her $20 to settle the deal. I told sister to go away while I got it, but she refused, just... staring at me. I kept telling her to. But I think I eventually went "screw it" and took it out, resolving to re-hide the stash later. She made a comment on how "she thought it was there."
I went through it and pulled out what I thought was a 20. Andit was, but the design was different, a different famous person's face was on there, and to the right of the bill was a symbol of a swastika?? (Even though I think said famous person had already died well before WWII. But I really don't remember who they are.) I stared at it for a while and remembered that I had a collection of rare dollar bills, because someone adult from my childhood would give them to me as rewards. (She didn't; they were much smaller prizes.) And I thought, this is a rare dollar bill, I can't just give it away! I'll find a common $20 bill. So I put it back and continued searching.
Apparently I had a continuing collection of rare dollar bills, ones I continued to not want to give away. Among them was a Martin Luther King Jr. $10 bill, also one I was unwilling to give away. Through it, I was thinking "wow, dollar bills have certainly changed since the 90s!" (...lol)
I was still searching when... some random maintenance guy came over? My sister went to see him and I went along, still looking for a proper bill as I walked... right in the sight of random maintenance guy. He didn't seem to say anything about the money, though, nor did his eyes linger to said money. I don't remember the conversation between us, but the maintenance guy eventually left.
I don't think I ever actually gave my older sister her $20, but the dream changed a little anyway. I was in my old room looking through my old stuff. I found my old flip-phone, although apparently, there were more capabilities on it than I remember, and the screen would get bigger at random, more like a DS than a phone, if I was reading something. I went through it and found an old mini-diary I kept on it, with the last entry from sometime when I was 18 and the first one from when I was 13. (Even though I didn't get the phone until I was 18...) From my entry from 18-years-old, I was thinking "no way would I sound that mature" before I remembered wait, I was actually semi-coherent at age 18. (At least, I hope so.) My entry from 13 years old was a lot shorter and a lot more... vibrant? In line with 13 years old. Flipping through the entries, it looked like I did an entry about once a year. After skimming through them, I thought "I should do an entry now, for old time's sake."
I don't think I ever got around to it, either due to distraction or me waking up later. I don't remember what happened after that, besides various musing about how so many things have changed.

It's kind of frustrating when you have a really interesting dream, but it's in the early portion of the night and you wake up and still try to remember it when you actually get up but it's interrupted with more dreams with related-but-different subject matter, so this is my attempt to piece it together as best as possible
It starts with me going along through a forest at night with this group that had the acronym OMFL but they kept calling themselves the Liberation Front, so let's go with that. It was a bunch of stereotypical military guys, and for some reason I was being treated as one too, however begrudgingly. Apparently their current mission was to fight what I got the impression was a rival group that was supposed to basically be a tribe of Amazons or elves or some mix between the two; the Liberation Front's secret weapon against them was apparently some space-alien-relic magic energy bow, and the leader let everyone know as such just before we stationed ourselves at the edge of what was apparently a fairly well-hidden entrance to the rival faction's area (leader could see/hear the exterior guards from afar, I guess?) and the dude with the energy bow got ready to fire, but a regular arrow came from the area he was aiming at and hit him in the shoulder, and apparently that was enough to rout the Liberation Front as they grabbed the injured bow guy and ran; at this time I apparently was passed out from the fighting (as little of it as there actually was) and the dudes didn't notice me, but I felt myself being picked up by someone from the rival faction and taken to their area.
Cue myself waking up in an area that was more or less a super nice-looking villagey area with a bunch of blue-glowy pools and fountains and such, formed around a bunker kind of building up some stairs and down a hatch in the middle. Needless to say I was distrustful of my kidnapper/rescuer at first because enemy faction, but the lady who'd taken me made the obvious observations that the Liberation Front had totes left me behind for no reason, and I wasn't a military dude besides. In any case, I forget what this new group called themselves (it was based on someone's name and it kept changing over the course of the dream) but by contrast it was all women so I'll just call them the Sisterhood. Anyways, they assumed that I might want to join them since it was a safe and peaceful place and such, so the main lady started taking me along a tour of the place, but I voiced my concern about whether a pre-op trans girl would even be welcome; tour lady took me to an area which was basically a list of past and current members, and in a section with ones that didn't want to get their picture taken for the wall, she pointed out a few names that were also trans folks, so that eased my concerns significantly, and I decided to stick with the Sisterhood for a bit (especially since the Liberation Front treated me like, y'know, military dude).
The next couple sections are kind of fuzzy but for some reason they involved a teenage-boy version of Twilight Sparkle (yes, ponies) at his family's house complaining about his mane having a lot of split ends? But the dream started to make more(?) sense again as I was in an area that was apparently a high school funded/owned by the OMFL/Liberation Front parent organization, but had a room designated for peace talks/hanging out between them and the Sisterhood, and when I went in there the dudes were like "hey welcome back how did it go" like nothing even happened and I was still interested in going along with them; this peace-talks-room opened up to the basement where there was apparently a village of pelican-people who seemed a bit reality-challenged but nonetheless offered some convincing portents of some terrible consequences that would happen if the fighting between the groups continued.
Near this school area was an amphitheatre where apparently the Liberation Front and Sisterhood were going to have some kind of debate or fight or Battle of the Bands or something, and the audience was pretty packed, but I showed up late and extremely tired of why the heck were these folks fighting each other when the fate of the world was at stake? I tried to go into the audience sneakily but the announcer for the event noticed and was like "oh hey, it's that important person, will they join the fray or audience for one side or another?" but halfway down the amphitheatre was a bathroom so I walked quietly down amid the expectant crowd and just locked myself in there.
It's kind of hard to sort out anything else that happened so I'll just leave it at that weirdness.

A couple of weeks ago, I had this dream which involved a building where somebody would sketch out drawings for you, and at one point I remember having an Avatar: The Last Airbender-related sketch (odd, since I [am one of the very few people who] have rarely watched the show) done for me. In a difficult-to-explain way (both due to my lacking memory of the dream and due to it making little sense to begin with), I remember that there was this video game landscape where I guess this hacker was sneakily making it so that certain things would cast a creepy reflection, and there was a public warning at this (studio?) building about it...
I don't even know how to put it, for the aforementioned reasons; like I said, my dreams usually don't make much sense. The most interesting part about this dream is that it had a distinct video game creepypasta vibe to it, and I haven't really had much of a nightmare for years. This felt like it came close, but the creepypasta feeling just made the dream feel cooler in a way looking back at it.
And Monday morning, I had a dream that while rummaging through our garage for some nostalgia, I had found what I believe was the original packaging for Pokémon Yellow, a game which I already do own in real life. I remember being overjoyed because it meant that I had somehow discovered more information concerning when we had gotten the game, so it was just a nostalgia burst for me. The dream also involved the mall somehow, yet I don't remember how.
The most intriguing part of the dream was how I was anticipating and visualizing posting on NTWF regarding my discovery in the Mini-Gloats thread. Is this my first NTWF-related dream? I don't quite remember...

I dreamed that I was showing off my sketchbook to people. The saddest part was that it was fuller than my actual sketchbook and the art in it was more creative and in full colour, whereas my drawing IRL are mostly black and white. Maybe some of the art left something to be desired but I wish I had my fictional sketchbook instead of my RL one. Especially since I was more keen to show the former off, while the latter people have to pry from my cold dead hands.

Last night, I had a dream that there was some choose-your-own adventure youtube video out (except not advertised in those words). And how the story started was there was this small, rural-ish town with people going around doing rural-ish things. And then suddenly they're attacked by huge human-killer pigs. So they're running around and trying to figure out how to deal with them.
Dream!me decided to skip further ahead in the video for some reason, and apparently doing that gets the worst ending (where the killer pigs... let's say they win). I then get an option to try again. And I realize that skipping ahead in the video will cause skipped prompts in the video and not addressing them will lead to a bad ending? (Even though it's within the same video; apparently the video itself can change in dream-logic.) With the video creators justifying it with something about how everyone rushed through their choices and it led to disaster. So everyone who wants to participate has to go through everything without skipping ahead, unless a choice specifically tells them to. (I don't actually remember how picking a choice works. It seems to involve clicking certain spots in the video time-bar, even if it seemed like I played that segment before, to get a different thing involved with the choice. But it was vague even in the dream.)
(To which even dream!me thought "well wait a minute, what if someone wanted to play a later choice without playing through everything?". To which the answer was just "tough." I guess they just really wanted people to play through all of it for some reason?)
So I started from the beginning and let it run. Thankfully the video got to the point fairly quickly. The first choice I think actually had to do with the killer pig invasion? The rest... didn't. xD The first choice came by, and then the second set of choices a character got robbed and I had to help him make the choices to stop the thief? I think I ended up choosing weird ones, but the thief got stopped. Lots of fallings to the ground happened.
Choices continued and the video proceeded to have very little to do with pigs at all. The last choice involved everyone sitting at some sort of wooden table outside and everyone was deciding... something? I was apparently picking between two different times. Then someone said something and the words got lost on me, so as I do in videos sometimes, I click a tiny bit further back on the video time-bar, and when it worked up to the choices, they were suddenly different. I realized that sometimes in going back, the choices themselves would change for reasons I don't know. Anyway, I noticed that in playing with that, one of the choices remained consistent, so I picked that one. There was a neutral reception to my choice, and they all decided to go through with something, and then... that was apparently an ending?
I ended up getting involved in a few other choose-your-own-adventure-or-else videos, and this one apparently involved Disney's Moana. She was still in Hawaii, except this time she was climbing a mountain and it quickly became one of those snow-covered mountaineering scenarios. (With Moana in her same clothes; I don't know how she didn't complain or try to dress warmly.) She found Maui somewhere along the way and they needed to reach the top for something. They eventually came by this mountain village where they stayed a while, where... ...Dangit, I don't remember enough of it. xD I think I remember needing to abide by some obscure village customs or things would get bad, or I'd get a poor reception, and I was struggling to remember them all, and sometimes I wouldn't be informed of them before they actually got mad at me. Anyway, after the long village section, the goal was to make it to the top of the mountain, and I remember Moana making it and posing victoriously in the polar wind as she stood atop the snowy peak, with absolutely no change in her usual garb. Because Rule of Cool.
(You can probably tell that last one became less of a choose-your-own-adventure-or-else video and more its own thing, but both were kinda weird.)

Last night, I dreamed that I was in this group brought together to put on a play. (Specifically "Into the Woods," sort of, as you'll see.) I guess we were all together for auditions, except the auditions were more like someone approaching us somewhere in the big room and going "can you do this, act this part out (you remember the lines we never gave you, right?), you wanna be this part? Okay cool." Given that it's a musical, I expected to need to sing to showcase my musical talents in case they found a fit for me there, but nope. And given that I'd never actually acted before, they decided maybe I could fit into one of the maid roles for the royal characters. (Were there even maid characters in the play, even as one-shots? Maybe at the beginning of Act 2? I really don't remember.)
For some reason in the middle of them, the maids had a prominent scene (which I also don't remember in ItW), where me and another one had to play makeshift instruments (with mine being a percussion-based instrument) which we had to sing to, and we had to run our lines. Except no one ever gave me the script or any lines, so when it kept being my turn to talk or sing, I kept going "uhh," and then getting yelled at for not knowing the lines. This is only a few minutes after I was picked for the role, after all, and they just shunted me right into it with no direction. We (somehow?) got to a stopping point and from then on I then had silent roles. Except I was given no direction on those either, just I suddenly had to do them. The director kept stopping the rehearsal to chew me out for not reading the script and thus not knowing what to do. The script that was never given to me, mind.
Eventually, the rehearsal ended and we all got in a group, talked about... stuff, and the director gave us all some speech about how being in a play is difficult at first, and that they can all work through it. (Which I'm sure I could've. If he, y'know, gave me a script.) He approached me on the side and basically said much of the same thing to me, that I can do it if I work hard at it. To which I continued to internally think "perhaps so, but maybe I wouldn't need to if you gave me a script to learn my lines from."
Then people milled around, the other theater-people talked to each other and I was just kind of trying to get a hang of being in a theater-group (nevermind the fact that this was a dream and anything I learned there was probably inaccurate). And then the place suddenly turned into a late-night arcade?
I don't even know.
(But brain, I get it, you want me to get in a play. With no acting experience. During grad school. Not today, at the very least.)

Gelquie Oh my gosh, that sounds like the epitome of theater dreams (forgetting lines/not even knowing them I feel is one of the big anxieties, which then get to be taken to extremes in our head like here x3), I related to that so hard when I read it xDD

I had a dream that I woke up from a nightmare and had to go somewhere, only I was both anxious and still super tired, so I fell back asleep in the car and when I woke up it turned out my mom was friends with the McElroys and we were at their house to work on something.
Then I walked from there to walmart and they were selling 'wedding dresses', but they weren't like normal wedding dresses; they were faerie clothes I remember this short green dress/suit thing that was embroidered and embellished all over with flowers, and a lace whitish see-through overdress with subtle pale pinks and browns woven in, that was meant to be worn over the green one but they were sold separately. And then there was another white and brown dress that very much resembled one from love nikki. And I immediately made heart eyes at all of them- but they were *priced* like wedding dresses, so everything was over $500. And then I think I sadly went back to check on whatever my mom and friends were doing. XD

I dreamed there was some sort of theater under construction and it was just finished. There were multiple levels to it, and the bottom looked like a typical theater, and there was a typical balcony. In order to enter it, there was a room towards the top and you had to walk down into the theater itself.
Apparently, to help with viewing from the top, there was a section of the floor that just suddenly cut off to a sheer drop, and gave a view of the stage far below. And there was no hand railing. And due to the carpeting looking the same everywhere, you had to be particularly observant to notice the drop, which I couldn't notice until I got close enough. And I couldn't get close enough because my fears got the better of me because I was thinking "why did they think that was a good idea??"
(I have no idea how the light from above didn't shine below, but that didn't concern me as much as the potential for people to accidentally fall and die. No one else seemed concerned, though. Somehow, no one fell through the hole. But it was opening night, so I thought "just wait...")
It never came up, though; I went down the ramp to explore the rest of the theater rather than actually complaining about the huge death trap that they'd purposefully constructed, like a rational person. The issue never came up, though. There wasn't anything too exciting about the rest of the theater.

Last night was one of those dreams-- or rather, multiple dreams, as I never seem to have just one at a time-- that was vivid enough for the feelings to have stuck with me the rest of the day. Alas though, I can't remember any of the specific details anymore xD;
The one thing I do remember because it was just so vivid was that youtuber Dan Howell, or danisnotonfire, had passed away. Probably a combo of watching a lot of him lately and having recently heard an irl celebrity bombshell that did actually surprise me, but yeah x3; I think that was so memorable over the rest of the dream just because of how realistically it went. There was nothing overly dramatic, and it played out exactly as hearing celebrity news would in real life.
"Did you hear? [x] happened."
"Wait, really?"
*googles it*
"Oh..."
It was so vivid, in fact, that when I had woken up a bit more, I had to literally look it up just to make sure he hadn't actually passed away xD And then of course there's that silly feeling once you're fully awake and understand that it was just a dream, and finding that tab still opened on your phone x3
But yeah, I swear, my dreams are reaching dangerous levels of feeling real.

I had the weirdest dream that was supposed to be the ending of a comic but *wasn't*. I lived in this town that was always moving, it was like a train. There were endless hidden places, things to do, places to explore- it was amazing. And one day I went exploring with a couple friends and we found this weird room. When I looked in the window there were lots of people inside, talking, but when I went to go get Cole to come see, they were all gone. So we went inside and investigated and after establishing that no, those people just *aren't here*, we left and discovered another door that got left open, and it was implied to be on purpose. So we went in and at the end of this twisting hallway was a door that led outside, and up to the top of the train-town. As expected the thing was massive but we also discovered something else: separated from the train, but connected, was another giant car. We went back inside and told some friends about it, and one of them exasperatedly said "*yes*, that's what I've been trying to tell you- they're holding my brother there!" So of course we decided to go spring his brother out. Only problem was, there were only two ways to get there: go along the chains that connected them, or fly over. And there was a man (who was pretty much Cyborg Long Feng) who would send robots to shoot down anyone who tried to cross. I basically ended up being lucky; I Scribblenautsed myself this green butterflybird character I had (who. I don't have) and flew across quickly while he wasn't looking. The other car was governed by absurdly powerful people who definitely weren't human (think Diamonds from SU, or very tall fae) and it was comprised of of harsh landscapes in front and with a city at the farthest point. (Think a giant desert in a box, connected to an underground cave system in the next box, which opened onto another box with like a metallic little town in it, which opened onto a more fancy town etc.)The only humans allowed were those who had paid a very steep amount of money to rent a space. The overseers kept a sharp eye out for stray humans, and I managed to get as far as the outskirts of the city before I was caught and stuck in a smallish area full of giant stuffed animals. But the person in charge of my area was good, by the standards of the overseers, so she said if I found her sceptre for her without leaving my area (it was a rough, sparkly greenish trident but without a middle tooth- essentially a horseshoe rod) I could stay. She'd dropped it just outside the giant stuffed animal box, so I grabbed it while she wasn't looking. She was happy, and I got the impression that the real test had been about being fast and sneaky. The rest of the dream was mostly me trying to help my friends get to the city from the inside, with a minor detour of 'overseer lady wants to create a shadowy, smoky fairy, scribblenauts object editor style, and another lady barges in telling her 'You can't just *edit* creatures like that!' and me trying to help the fairy she was turning shadowy

Last night I had a dream that some company combined taxidermy and robotics together as a way for people to "bring back" their deceased pets.
and this lady that my parents were acquaintances with (in dream world) had this done to her recently passed orange tabby, and we got to see a comparison between her living younger cat, and this... thing. She was like "Oh, you can't even tell which one is the "reborn" cat!" and I was like naw, it's the super uncanny valley one. 'cause the taxidermybot was just super creepy, and its movements looked sorta like a real cat's, but not close enough.
The whole dream was just unsettling. XD

This is a fragment of a larger dream which was an epic action movie but I cannot remember most of it. So I'll just put down the bit that amused me the most.
One of our comrades had been captured by the bad guy and sent us a complex code to figure out how to defeat him and how to find her. The first code consisted of erasing certain words around the nicknames of each individual team member to reveal the message from her that she needed rescuing. But the best part was the code afterwards. It was nicknamed "silver eyes" and it looked like a string of nonsensical messages even when places in order. The only way you could see the true message is if you looked through the glamour on it to see the writing below. To see that, you had to get completely plastered.
Cue the entire team raiding the bar. Staying in-character, I managed to talk the whisky bar next door (we were in some fancy hotel) to give me free tastings of their rare and fine whiskies because we were (I quote) "saving the world". At first I took small samples but then simply grabbed a bottle and chugged because I was not getting drunk fast enough. As all of us were drinking, we were glancing at the code to see if we were all drunk enough to see what it truly said. I think I got 3/4 of the way through a full size bottle of whisky before I could see it. Even then I only felt slightly drunk.
The rest of the dream consisted of action scenes across boats fighting the minions of this guy who I think were dressed like ninjas. Before it shifted into a courtroom family drama. But the drinking was the most hilarious bit.

I had a dream last night where me and some family members were imprisoned by an unintroduced character of mine (seemingly in my own house), and tried to escape without him noticing. My dad and I managed to get out pretty quick, but my uncle was having trouble keeping up... seemingly in part due to his own lack of effort, as he didn't seem to be in any hurry. I was trying to convince him of the urgency, yelling like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WE'RE GONNA GET CAUGHT WE HAVE TO HURRY"
...But then it turned out the joke was on me, as neither our captor nor any of the guards ever noticed that we were escaping. I couldn't help but wonder if they even cared that we were. idk man it was weird lol
