The rule is only good if it applies to new, WELL-WRITTEN stuff, not new, N00B-TYPE stuff. I just hope they still judge pieces carefully, and not just accept every new thing that comes their way.
Personally, I'm slightly disappointed because I can't pursue my 5-issue published streak anymore! ;D Well, at least more writers get to shine...

Ohh. I think that was one of those things I used to know but then forgot it when I made myself stupid. =b Did you stick a crayon up your nose to your brain or something? ... heehee, Simpsons fans will know what I mean.

I do plan on publishing well-written stuff. Usually what happens is that I have like 50 good comics, and from those comics, I narrow it down to 20-30. I will try to be as fair as possible.

Stupid n00bs must have finally gotten together and complained loud enough. I personally think that the new rule is good in one case in particular. Where you have excellent quality work that would be held over, and instead of holding over the new person, you always cut out the ones who are in their more often. To give more writers a chance. But when it comes to lowering the quality of the NT and letting sub-quality work in just so new author's have a chance, well, psh. It's an insult and penalization to us writers who know how to make good quality work out. Stupid rule-makers who don't know what they're doing. I think that's a really rude way of putting it. It doesn't matter whose writing is good and whose writing is bad, publishing the same people over and over isn't fair to all the other people who submit and get turned down. Just because someone hasn't been in the Times already doesn't mean their writing sucks and doesn't mean they shouldn't get a chance.
