For a good part of yesterday I was stuck in bed, due to the fact that standing up had the unfortunate side affect of making me puke. So, to entertain myself I drew some pictures of my lupe, Div. These will eventually go up on my pet page, so I'm completely willing to do them over. (A note on the first one: Why yes, I did forget to draw his tail, you'll have to use your imagination on this one. And his shirt says: One Dollar Short. Its a band) (A note on the second one: He holds his bass like I do: wrong. It canes your wrist, but darn it. I'm stubborn and not willing to change. Oh yeah, and he plays a purple bass. He's a purple bass player and proud of it)   Make that a purple bass which for some reason doesn't have frets. |

Haha, cheers. The signiture is a classic quote of the genius that is Zapp Brannigan (Futurama). If theres a better mixed metaphore out there, I've yet to hear it.

Nice to meet a fellow Brann-fan. You know what saddens me? a few months ago, my class was playing celebrity heads and my teacher put "Bender" as one of the celebrities. And half the class were like " What?". We were both disgusted.

You have a very nice style and I really like the pictures but if you want constructive crits...
1. Anatomy: This may be intentional, but it looks odd because it's close to being anatomically correct - but not quite there. Especially in terms of torso-waist measurements.
That's pretty much it really...I love the left hand on the second picture and you are one of few people who don't over shade AND get the lighting right while at it when colouring in that style(I know I rarely ever do).
Great job!

Hmm... I can see what you mean about the torsoe-waist thing, he should probably have a wider waist, considering the size of his muscles. I tried figuring it out by standing in front of the mirror, but then I remembered I dont have muscles *cough*

The weirdest thing about the second picture is that i have a good friend who pretty much has a body that resembles the silhouette AND plays the bass as well. He just happens to be human and has waist-length hair tied in a braid everyday ;D And on a totally different line of thought, at one time, he got so skinny, he had to wear women's jeans because they didn't have any men's jeans his size  |

As for constructive criticism (since you asked ^_^)I'd say that the Lupe's neck seems a tad too long. Perhaps cut it down just a bit and it'll look wonderful!

I like the 2nd one a tad more, but that's because I play guitar. As for critsim. Proportion is key. However, an atonomy book would be of assitance... Still looks awesome... ! |
