I like a lot of weird music, too, guys xD I think the last time I listened to something mainstream was a year ago or so.
Also, I forgot about Samson by Regina Spektor!

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters *high fives* YEESSS!! I have a very similar taste in music as Leoness, and she has a lot of my songs that I would've put in my list if I were to scan through her entire MP3 collection. x3

PFA knows verrry little music. ; Very little. Mention a band/singer to her and there's like a 90% chance she'll go 'who? ' Doesn't matter how 'mainstream' they are. Aanyways, here's a few songs that I've found I like. Don't hear most of them a lot, though. >_> *makes note to get these songs in her iTunes library sometime* - Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
- 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton
- Morning Glory by BeForU (it's in Japanese, but the translation makes my heart smile.
- Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler (it reminds me of a character of mine, actually)
- Rumors by Lindsay Lohan (another one that reminds me of a character of mine)
- Nijiiro by DJ Yosteamy dungaka (another Japanese one. I've been obsessed with it lately. >_>)
- Do I Make You Proud by Taylor Hicks
And... um, that's all I can think of, actually. And non-music knowledge'd me had to look up a couple of those artists. >_> EDIT: Kinda random, but... OHMIGOSH you can get Nijiiro on iTunessss. <3 *want*

I mainly go by the artists I like, obtain all the songs I can get from them and then throw out the ones I end up not liking x3 The single exception being Dragonforce. Everything produced by Dragonforce is teh lurve. But if I were to make a choice of 'em best ones:
Dragonforce - Once in a Lifetime Body Breakdown Dawn Over a New World Operation Ground and Pound Revolution Deathsquad Soldiers of the Wasteland The Flame of Youth and Through the Fire and Flames, 'fcourse x3
Then there's Nightwish - Amaranth Bye Bye Beautiful Crimson Tide (now there's a really goosebumps-inducing piece) Elvenpath Meadows of Heaven Nightquest Wish I Had an Angel
Then there's a random bunch, like Boystyle - Kokoro no Chizu Masterplan - Sail On Bon Jovi - It's My Life Westlife - When You're Looking Like That (why yes, I do have a very widespread taste in music) Vanilla Ninja - Heartless
There's loads more I like, but that list is the core of my MP3 player.
EDIT: mmkay, I'ma have to add Masterplan - Soulburn to those @.@ Thanks muchly, Leo, now it'll haunt me for the next two days x3

I hate you. Not because it's a bad song, but because I now will not get rid of it for another two days. I use it as a last-resort cure for other earworms, like Baby Fratelli.
I love-to-the-point-of-never-being-bored these. You will quickly realise that I seem to have a thing for neglected singles from not-neglected bands, and an even bigger one for what I can only describe as deliberately understated records.
Ash -- Shining Light (does anyone remember this but me? I bought it) Duran Duran -- Ordinary World Just about anything by The Feeling, but especially Same Old Stuff Kevin Devine-- Like Cursing Kids (nobody knows about this one, because I got it from my Pandora. It's incredibly short-- under three minutes-- but is a brilliant lesson in how to do a pop/rock record perfectly, IMO.) U2-- Electrical Storm (for them, underrated, for them, underplayed, as they are, excellent). Toploader-- Only For A While Guns'n'Roses-- November Rain (oddly enough, as I don't really go for any of their other stuff. This one only if it's played in full, too, which most radio stations don't.) Linkin Park-- Hands Held High (stolen from the brother) Muse-- Unintended (beautiful, beautiful record) Bon Jovi-- Always, or I'll Be There For You (my best high school friend and I agreed that if anyone ever wrote Always to us, we'd be back on their doorstep faster than we could pack our suitcases) Semisonic-- Closing Time Moby-- Now I Let It Go (it's an instrumental; showed up on my Launchcast) Annie Lennox's new(ish) one, of which I forget the title... I'm a bad creature! Karl Jenkins-- Adiemus (just about any of it, but the famous one is the brilliant one) Starsailor-- Lullaby Charlotte Gainsbourg-- 5:55 (another Launchcaster) The Zutons-- Confusion (tracked this one down after hearing it on TV) Hem-- Receiver (find it, listen to it, and try to tell me you're hearing it for the first time) Just about anything by Jet, but especially Shine On and All You Have To Do
Two of the loveliest anime themes I know: the opening to Fumoffu, and the closing theme called "Life" from Bleach.
Agreement and kudos to whoever said Dragostea Din Tei. Have you ever tried the trick of synchronising it with Despre Tine? It takes a bit of doing...
Also, not exactly a "favourite" song, but what came into my head when I saw the topic title: my brother recently mailed me some songs by a band called Nightwish. They (the songs) are not always easy to listen to, but they knock my socks off. Seriously.
And if anyone knows where I can get a copy of a song called Dividing Line by Witness UK, I will love you to bits.
I WILL BE BACK TO EDIT WITH MORE.

I've gone through these 3 pages and now have 100 songs waiting in line on Newsbin. And my dad is wondering why his connection is so slow....xD There seem to be a lot of Nightwish fans. My sister is also kind of a fan. The singing almost makes my skin crawl, for some reason. I'm sure there's one I like between them, though. Any reccomendations?

Tarja's voice was creepy x'D But they got a new singer lately. The newest album, Dark Passion Play, is completely different - well, the music is still the same but the voice is a totally different kettle o' fish. My two biggest favorites are Amaranth and Bye Bye Beautiful, but Meadows of Heaven - which is a pretty ballade - and The Islander - which brings Scotland to mind - are awesome too.

Should look up some. Or just ask my sister. I'm down to 67 songs now. There's a really big ACDC album in. Wow, look at the time, almost 2 at night already. And I have to work tomorrow. xP

You know, we should plan some kind of NTWF Meetup where we all go to a live Nightwish concert. Highly unprobable, but it would OWN... so very tremendomungously much. ^_____^
And Dream, I had Dragostea Din Tei on my list. Leoness cringes whenever I do the Numa Numa dance to it, but I can't help it. xD
