Because of the awesome item drop from this year's Advent Calendar, I got the (what I honestly thought was unobtainable) Snowy Valley Stamp Avvy! It's so cute, huzzah! Avvy 404, Collection Not Found.

A year or so ago, I decided to write my own complete guide to NeoQuest, Serene's NeoQuest Guide, so that a complete guide of the game was accessible on a petpage, and would have all the information needed to get through the game. I partially did this because IDNQ is gone outside of web archives, and the other guides I found didn't feel nearly as clean or complete as IDNQ. After finishing writing the walkthrough and mapping out 22 out of 30 maps, I was burnt out. Mainly because I was filling out all of the maps by hand in MSPaint. I didn't want to upload the maps until I finished mapping all of them so I could put a similar watermark on them all at the same time. Today, I decided to work on the guide again, and managed to knock out what is by far the most daunting map in the entire game (Two Rings Palace-Floor 1). I think I found a new method for mapping the rest of the maps in a much easier manner than I had been in the past, still all in MSPaint because I am a neanderthal. I know it doesn't seem like much, only finishing the one map, but that map was extremely daunting, and was a mental hurdle that really made me give up on mapping the whole game out. The only map that has even come close to comparing was the whole Ancient Neopia Map. EDIT: I did the math, Two Ring Palace-Floor 1 is 6,840 individual tiles. Ancient Neopia is actually larger, at 7,040 tiles, but a lot of that is open space and done with water tiles. So there was less individual tiles to change around in that area.

Serene That is so cool!!! I once attempted nearly the same thing xD My guide is on www.neopets.com/~StephDawnheartI really wish TNT would look into converting the page layout for that game so it can be comfortably played on mobile. The prizes need an update as well. (Golden Mr Irgo Stamp for finishing on Insane maybe?!?) NeoQuest is a fun classic; I'd consider it pretty foundational to the Neopets experience.

The prizes need an update as well. (Golden Mr Irgo Stamp for finishing on Insane maybe?!?) NeoQuest is a fun classic; I'd consider it pretty foundational to the Neopets experience. It's official, I may have spent too much time with NeoQuest back in the day. Especially when NeoQuestMania still existed As soon as I opened your guide, I was like, "Hey, aren't those YiffySquirrel's maps?" Then saw that they were. If I remember correctly, he was the one who had the theory that the fastest way to beat NQ2 was to skip picking up Talinia until Faerieland. I've only played NQ on mobile a couple of times. It moves a bit too slow not being able to F5 through easy battles. I really like your guide though. We have similar routes, but seemingly distinctly different levels we aim for when it comes to the bosses, and a few different places where it looks like we like to grind. I did notice yours is the only other guide I've ever seen recommend getting the armor from Desert of Roo before heading down to fight Rollay. Something I always recommend players who are on their first Insane run. I have been trying to stockpile some Normal wins recently to get to double digits. Lost one run back in August, when a bunch of people had their playthrough glitch out. Which was sad because I was Level 49. Have also been trying to lower my time on NQ2 Evil, for a potential Evil Race Run. Have gotten my time fairly low on that one, but always end up having to back track in the Lost Desert, and am struggling with the Four Faeries half the time, being so under-leveled. I would love for the prizes to be update, but would be less surprised to see them just release a proper NeoQuest III. So... I am not optimistic at all, which is sad. Even if they could update the NQ2 prize pools so it was somewhat worth it. Though I really just wish they had at least coded NQ2 to give players an amount of NP based on their remaining Gold at the end of the game. Like H50% of their Gold as NP on Normal, 100% on Evil, and 175% on Insane. The game would still be almost profitable with that. Oh well.

So posting here was the motivation I needed to keep going. I ended up finishing mapping all of NQ1, and even got them all put into my Guide. There is still a decent amount of work I want to do. Partially I want to work on some formatting for the entire page, but for now I am happy with it. That was easily one of the most frustrating, most time consuming, but simultaneously one of the most satisfying projects I've ever worked on for Neo. I think I will try to touch the page up some after taking a break from working on it, and eventually fill out the last two pages. Now I just need to dedicate the free time I am going to have working on the NT stories I've got are all sitting in limbo.

I accidentally accomplished one of my current Neo goals today. In the past couple weeks I have been grinding out some Normal NeoQuest wins (12/05, 01/07, and 01/10), to make an appearance on the Most Wins Board. I didn't realize when you reach 7 wins, you leapfrog to the top of the pets/players with 7 wins, instead of popping up at the bottom like on other Games Hi Scores tables. Just now, while just double checking to make sure that I still only needed one more win to make the list, I was surprised to find Sengajino already on the list, albeit at the very bottom.
