As long as the death is not gory/disgusting, are we allowed to have a character die in our stories?
Also, in a story, would it be acceptable to have two pets with children? (Lol, no, we wouldn't describe 'the process'). I've seen it in some stories that refer to wild pets in packs, but I've never really seen a story set in civilized Neopia where the authority figure in the house was non-human.

Whether they will accept death in a story or not pretty much depends on a case by case basis-- Darrell or Felicia would need specifics in order to really give an answer-- but as long as you keep it vague and un-gory enough, it should probably be fine.
Darrell has said that traditional family relationships are allowed, so that should also be fine, I assume.

-_- Uhm, well, didn't a staffie say that? I guess I saw it to late. *goes off to write about pink fluffy cybunnies that live in a land where absolutely nothing goes wrong* Lol, I know it's a kid's site and all. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Speaking of that, would like... ...be okay? ^..^

-_- Uhm, well, didn't a staffie say that? Yes, and then he revised it later to say that family relationships are allowed. As for the death thing, I won't comment further as I don't remember that specifically being retracted, but again, you can usually get away with a lot as long as you're tactful enough about it. And, off the top of my head, FirePixie has had one character turned to stone and one character (I think) mummified and encased in a tomb forever or something like that, so....

So I'm okay as long as I don't give a long, drawn-out description of a Zafara being eaten alive by rabid Pteris with light sabers? I guess I can deal with that.

What about assassination attempts? I mean, the bad guys fail, and everyone's okay, but is it okay to have pets planning another's demise?

Oh, sure. Lots of things planned and executed attempts to kill Al. I mean, it's not like vengeful villians are going to give you hugs and kisses. ;D

And I've also had a character who sucked the life force out of another evil guy, withering him and leaving him as a lifeless skeleton. I guess it was because it wasn't too gory... Maybe they allowed it just because he was a bad guy.

Tdyans is correct. We have to reserve the right to say no to something if it's a little too gory, but as long as you stay away from lots of gruesome details, you're pretty much in the clear.
As for moms, dads, kids, etc. Yeah, we went ahead and ended up letting that go. As long as there's no descriptive mating rituals or birthing processes, just saying that so-and-so is someone's brother or Dad is okay.

Well, I have kind of a question that goes along with this. Is it ok to have a part where two characters get married? As in, the actual wedding? Or is that something that's against the rules?
