Heh, I ended up doing this MAJOR (one-third of my semester grade) project for Social Studies about Japan last year...I don't know more than a word or two in Japanese, though, and I don't particularly want to learn it--my handwriting is tiny and messy, so I can't see doing very well with a complicated system of writing My dad can speak Chinese (he spent a year in Taiwan on business a while ago), and he has a Chinese-English dictionary, but I haven't managed to pick up anything ^^ I'm taking Latin next year--at least it'll be the same alphabet. I *hate* the Romance languages, though, and Latin's the root of 'em all...they're evil, all those masculine and feminine forms of words, and crazy sentence construction Can anyone tell I haven't had very good experiences with foreign languages in the past? Then again, I've never had them more frequently than a lesson a week with absolutely no incentive--like a grade--to study. Next year it'll probably be different...I hope I *really* hope the teacher's good, and pronunciation doesn't matter much. Bleh. I'm whining again, aren't I? Oh, well, I'll be quiet now

Aiyah >.> I can't believe I quit Chinese school. I want to know a bit more Cantonese, and learn more Japanese, and perfect my Francais. And maybe learn a tiny bit of Spanish. Nyaaa.

I wish I could work for neopets! *dreams* But, alas, I'm only 12. ;D Maybe they could hire kids to test out their merchandise? *grin* Heh, that'd be fun...I'm only eleven.

Okay, this was what everyone was talking about before, but I'd just like to tell you all that I know how to say 'Where is my flamingo?' in Japanese. I don't know punctuation and probably can't spell, but I think its "Watashi No Fudomingo Wa odoko Deska?" My Japanese friend said it was correct spelling, at least. I hope it's right...x.x Back on topic now...I'd want to work at neopets. When I'm 18 or so, I'm definetly checking to see if there's any jobs that I am interested in there And I live in Los Angeles, somewhat close to them (I really have no idea where Glendale - or whatever - is. But I've heard of it.)

Back when they had their e-mail support job open I seriously considered working there (even though I am in Florida... I really want to go back to my home state of California and it would have been a really good excuse to get my husband to finally make the move). I was up to the point of writing up a Neopet resume... but then the job went away.
Once I move back (hopefully by next year) I am going to at least see if they'll take me as an intern.

**crazy dream I actually had at one point** In neopets office... drawing faeries... loving it... And then the wild herd of Rhinoceri come in and trample everything and suddenly I'm awake. No I'm not kidding, I actually dreamed that. It even inspired me to draw this faerie pic... img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-6/196757/LightFaerie.gif[/img] It's my best computer art yet! I love my dreams! **hugs dreams**

I like my dreams too, I'm actually writing a plot for this one dream I had. I got as far as chapter 2 when I soon got lazy and decided to watch tv and draw comics. I'll continue it some day.

I think it'd be funny to work at Neopets (funny as in strange, not funny as in 'ha ha')... Yet, I really wouldn't want to work there. I'd rather do some science job or something...
As for japanese.... Je ne parle pas japonais. Je parle français(mais ne beaucoup pas).
Phrases/words I actually know in japanese, translated to english (I can't spell them): strawberry, good afternoon, good morning, thank you, thank you(polite), but, I, sister, idiot.
Neopet related dream: I once dreamt I was on a hiking expedition with Adam and Donna. I think I was talking to Donna about Adam or something... Very strange.
