((Um, how to go about this...))
~Mage Manor Office~
Liyer looked up at the others, staring at the little commotion in the middle of the room. "Oh, nice, you've totally confused them. Cheers for that tactic, by the way. Old reunions aren't always welcome, though, I suppose."
"Yeah, can you two save this for later?" she[Omni] said to the cat and the newcomer. "I think we've got bigger problems on our hands." She gestured with a thumb pointing to the door behind her.
"Then we'll just have to take this somewhere else, eh?" he sneered and jumped onto the floor, watching Juverna. Idiot, she shouldn't be doing this sort of thing...
Running out the door of the office(not waiting to see if Omni's "problem" was nearer than they thought), he glanced back to see if Juverna followed him. A little ways down the hallway, he paused and confronted her. "You know, it'd be much easier if you could talk, but..."
He slammed her into the wall, watching her silently cry out in pain before unsheathing his claws.
These sorts of situations were so unnecessary...
~A Place Between~
Rivanth watched the scene play out in front of him, mirrored on the mists surrounding. Time to intervene...
"Tsk, must I always finish the job for you? You'd be dead if these weren't some careless mages we're talking about. But wait," he smirked to himself, "It's already too late for that, isn't it?" Standing up straight, he flicked the marionette control in his hands a few times before grasping it firmly.
"Okay, Jun, time for me to take over for you."
~Mage Manor Hallway~
Juverna slumped against the wall, reaching for the now-throbbing pain in her head. She couldn't do this, couldn't even beat a dumb cat. Hurry up already, Rivanth...
Then, her arms felt light as air, and the bands on her limbs drew taught. She stood up, but not by her own will, and glared at Liyer.
He stood confused, but for half a second only. "Bring it on."
She took a back seat in her mind, watching the show. Now that Rivanth was controlling her(oh, how that sounds weird), she couldn't do a thing. It was her, but then not at all.
Anyway.
She grabbed a knife from an inset on the stone wall. Though it was made mainly for decor purposes, it was still sharp as glass. It swung smoothly, at least. Bringing it down in a small arch, she aimed for the target.
Liyer dodged easily and skirted around to her back. He clamped his jaws around her ankle, sinking his teeth in deep and spitting around the blood welling up around the black ribbons. Letting go, he backed away swiftly as she flinched and fell to the ground again.
Juverna stabbed the knife down at Liyer, but was met only by the scraping of metal to stone. Frustrated, she reached out and successfully grabbed onto his fur, pushing him down to the stone as hard as the muscles in her arm would allow.
The cat scrambled up and dodged another knife blow. Ugh. He reared up and thrashed her in the face, watching more blood flow from scratches on her cheek. "Leave me alone already, Rivanth, or I'll really kill her."
She ignored the comment and struggled to stand up, limping on the bleeding foot. She moved again swiftly with the knife, attempting to pin Liyer down.
As usual, he dodged the blow again, running around to her side.
Juverna coughed a few times, losing concentration. Looking up, she swung her good foot in a kick and slammed him into the wall. Finally. Keeping him pinned to the stones with the foot, she readied the short blade.
At this point Juverna(her real self) was coming back to the front of her mind, trying to force Rivanth to stop now, but her own body wouldn't obey.
Liyer looked up and winced at the glinting knife with a look of grudging defeat. He'd...lost. "Just do it, already," he muttered.
The blade rushed through the air, past white fur and burying itself deep in his heart. He tried to curse, but wasn't able to finish it.
-----
Juverna fell to the floor in a heap, feeling full control of her body returning to her. The wounds on her leg and face rushed over her in a wave of pain. Wanted to sleep...
Liyer was already in sleep, it seemed. Eternal sleep. A sticky red spot had collected on his fur where the knife had hit. But the cat's body seemed to..dissolve. It turned to white mist, leaving in its place a card. The card lay decorated with a dapple glade of trees, bordered with a garland of leaves. In the middle of the shade a black figure sat silhouetted there; a cat.
Rivanth tapped onto the stone flooring, picking up the new tarot and adding it to Juverna's(now changed back from the marionette crossbar). "Contracts are contracts, cat."
He tapped Juverna with his foot. "Get up, I don't care if it hurts. You're already dead. Now," he looked up to survey the new surroundings. "What do you suppose we do now, hm?"
(( OMG, a text wall. How rare. Now since I'm sure everyone's really confused(or just doesn't care) about this little subplot thing I'm trying out, I'll try to briefly explain Rivanth's situation-
So Rivanth is this guy. He's learned a dark magic, twisting it to his own uses. It's a sort of puppetry-like ability. But it has some drawbacks.
It works thus- He goes about the gimmick of letting people have eternal life after they die(which may be true...), and tricking them to agree to a contract(it only works if he gets permission to do so, so yeah).
Until they die, he must remain in that "place between" region you've been hearing about. It's sorta like nowhere, like a dreamland or something.
Anyway, once they die, they are under his control and are like his "puppets". Each person he controls then has a matching tarot card, able to shift into a marionette control bar(can't find a better name for it). That allows them to be controlled like puppets. Yeah.
But wait. Remember Juverna's ribbons? Each person has a binding on their wrists and ankles, made of a material that resembles in idea their greatest desires or joys. So if you're a rich lady, it may be a string of gems. If you work on a ship, it could be ropes. It's basically like the strings that attach to real-life marionettes.
So, unless he summons someone, they'll probably be wandering around the misty nowhere until he does. Rivanth probably has about 7-9 cards only right now, so yeah.
Was that even more confusing? I'm still getting the idea laid out...But I do have rather (possible narmy) sad background about Juverna's death. Yep. That's it...
Hope I didn't forget anything.
I wonder if anyone will read this whole post?
Oh, well.))

"The door is open, by the way," proclaimed one of the shadow clones.
"OH, LAWLZ, MY MISTAKE! MUST BE TURNING THE HANDLE THE WRONG WAY!" said a massive, booming voice of no particular origin.
The handle of the door started turning in the other direction, and it creaked open. On the other side, a gift box had appeared. It was green with a red bow on the top.
Since the sattelite network was now completely quarentined, there was no need to stall the Author any longer. Now he'd just need to entertain her long enough for HQ to get some solid data on her origins.
The top of the gift box slowly slid off and flopped to the ground, and a dazzling beam of light shot out of the box towards infinity. As this happened, thousands - no, millions - of small binary numbers poured out of the box like a swarm of angry hornets. As they rose into the air, they assembled themselves into the silhouette of the massive, robotic, one-eyed cat known as Omega SS.
When the silhouette was finally complete, it flickered a few times, and there he was, standing directly over The Author and her shadow clones with a smile that was wide and big enough to make him the new cheshire cat.
"YOU CAN HAS!"
Omega SS dipped his head back towards the sky and let out a deafening, lion-like roar. It was loud enough and massive enough to vibrate the entre sector and cause the floor to randomly change colors in the style of an Amazing Technicolor Battlefield. This should be interesting.
He looked back down at his foes as a few dozen guided missles launched out of his ears. They promptly steered themselves in the direction of the clones. For good measure, he began attempting to stomp them with his giant feet.
================
"Primary scanners have detected the virus copies," said Haggoth. "The original can't be too far away."
He swivled his chair around and pointed a meaty finger at one of his officers. "Run a search for all AI subroutines in the sector."
"Including Omega SS?" asked the officer.
"Especially Omega SS," Haggoth snorted.

((Tabloid Town))
Here he was... The Commander and his homebred motor bike, racing through the streets of Tabloid Town - the economic center of the entire continent. To save time, he had chosen to cross over a body of water with his jet boots, while using his psionic abilities to drag the bike through the air with him. Once he hit the coastline, he decided to use the bike on its own without any psionic enhancements. He'd rather not attract attention by destroying the road behind him.
Once he was in normal traffic, he brought up the map display on his wrist again to make sure he was headed in the right direction. Indeed, the Spaceport was fairly close. However, The Commander noticed something else that perked his interest. His sensors were picking up strange readings coming from a slightly different direction - readings that were not unlike the ones he detected when he was first thrown into the Underdeep.
Coincidence? He didn't think so. Something was amiss, and he had vowed to stop the nightmare world from taking him back. He wouldn't let it happen again.
At the next intersection, he immediately changed course towards the strange readings. Eventually, they led him to a mansion in the outer section of town.
A mansion? Who in Tabloid Town would have the technology to mess around with the Underdeep? Unless...
The Commander vaguely remembered a dispute his officers had while he was still head of Spacefleet. Something to do with finding an excuse to exile someone on the planet... but who? He had been so busy with HQ affairs in the past that the name escaped him completely. Nevertheless, he had a feeling this mansion belonged to a Fleeter. The question was... is this particular Fleeter a friend or a foe? It all rested on what was inside.
The moment The Commander saw the band of characters on the front lawn, he slammed the brakes on his motor bike. This could complicate things... but they wouldn't stop him. He was on a mission.
After coming to a screeching halt just behind the characters, The Commander jumped on top of his seat so that he was standing on the bike. He then did a backflip (which would make him look rather graceful in slow motion, due to his cloak covering most of his body), landing just behind and to the left side of the bike. Finally, he thrusted himself forward with a teleport dash while grabbing on to the side of the bike with his right hand as he passed it. From here, he held onto the bike in the same way that a knight might hold his shield.
Faint, shadowey silhouettes of The Commander and his bike instantly appeared around the pirate captain and through the main door of the manor, disappearing after a second or so. He came to a stop in the lobby area, where he spotted two pirates running down a hallway in the distance. He wouldn't be able to enter that hallway while holding his bike, so he had to find another route to the Underdeep readings. He proceeded to run in a different direction through the mansion, trying to find a spot where he could smash through the floor and land directly on top of the readings.
((Remember The Commander's disguise. Most characters may not recognize him until he either takes it off or starts talking.))

Merpo's... oh hell with it. This guy was RICH. RICH. RICH like those guys who won MILLIONS in the LOTTERIES and then spent it on MANSIONS and CHAMPANGE and other things they COULDN'T AFFORD OTHERWISE. By the way, if you can guess who I'm making fun of here, you get kudos.
And then the headache became worse again. This time Nasue let out a noise that bordered on a cry of pain, clutching her head once more. Squinting, she managed to see the red-caped pirate (Rider?) run off, and then a white-furred pirate run after her.
Groaning, she put her front paws back down and started to move. Still stumbling she managed to walk, beginning to break into a run - and then the coati heard something behind her. Footsteps. Quickly she turned around, but she didn't see anything unusual except for that thing which must not be named.
darn it! What was she going to do? Here she was in a stranger's house, with a massive headache, most of the crew outside with two inside, and someone else inside as well. She'd never had to deal with anything like this, not even during--No. Don't go there.
Nasue wanted to run and hide, and wait for this to blow over. But she couldn't.
Slipping a little on the floor, the coati started clumsily running, trying to follow where Rider and Zylaa had gone.

Somewhere in Tabloid Town
"The end times are at hand! The gods have gazed upon our world and judged us unworthy! Blood and fire shall rain from the heavens, the oceans will boil, the land will b--"
The doomsayer's rantings were abruptly cut off when a black-furred hand struck his face. Rubbing his face, he turned to look at the one who had slapped him, and froze. A feline face with blue eyes was glaring back at him.
"Old man." The panther snarled--was that blood on his teeth? "I don't have time to deal with your hype-filled 'prophecies'. I want answers." As he said this, Oncara grabbed the prophet's robe and pulled it, so the taller human would be looking into the shorter ninja's eyes.
"And don't pretend you know nothing. People have been disappearing for the past few months. All accounts have said that they went into the same forest, and were never seen again. But you went in there two weeks ago. You returned. And you are a different man to the one you were before entering that forest.
"Tell me why."
The old man was obviously frightened, but refused to speak. One snarl from the panther changed that in an instant.
"A-a-a demon--a demon from the otherworld! She--she showed me the--the truth about our world's fate!"
"That's not enough, old man." Oncara unsheathed his claws. "Tell me everything!"

The Hospital Patri noticed Vyt running towards her. He didn't seem injured by the blast she had sent at him, so she had to come up with something different. She took a good look at Vyt, trying to notice all the details she could. Then, she formed an illusion of him right in front of her.
The illusion drew a katana and charged at Vyt. Then, Patri gave the blade a solid edge and the illusion swung at him.
Meanwhile, Sandra looked down at Kwoi as she shattered the brick. The shapeshifter didn't seem to want to chase her, so she'd have to just get rid of this one quickly. Suprise attack, she thought. I always hate it, so this other shapeshifter should too. She dove down out of sight behind the hospital, and transformed into a dragonfly.
The Underdeep Halin and Corenu walked through the Underdeep. It did not take them long to find Mage Manor's basement, since the entrance they had found was close enough for Corenu to still sense it's magic.
They slooked at the door to the rest of the Manor in front of them. Corenu turned to Halin. "So, we're not going to get our heads battered in by a helmet if we knock this down, are we?"
"I believe the Underdeep will protect us, but I am not sure. However, there appears to be something barricading the door. See if you can puncture through, we'll rip the door out."
Corenu ran straight at the door, and tilted his head down. His horn went right through the door. He pulled it out, and shone some light into the hole. "There are vines behind it. It looks like the back ones might be made from stone."
Halin nodded. "Alright, let's get working on ripping out the door. After that I'm not sure yet, a wall of stone will be hard to break."
Brassport Owen sighed. This appeared to be going nowhere, the mages were too good at manipulating people. He'd have to find a different way. He left the crowd, and ran back to his house. Once there, he grabbed the spare power pack he kept taped under his desk. He also pulled out the crystals he had put into his mouse, and put them in his current power box. He'd be needing all the energy storage he could get.
Once he was done, he left his house, and jumped up on to the roof. He took a look around, and saw some large buildings.
Owen climbed back down to the street. Then, he ran off at full speed. Time to see what this world was really like.
Merpo's Mansion Too much was going on. Jina felt dizzy, although that could just as easily have been from falling off the Blarf. Still though, there were people running around, lots of fighting, people showing up from nowhere. It was confusing. So.
"Will somebody please tell me what the" -there was the loud sound of something or another- "is going on?"

((Tabloid Town Hospital))
A figure began to form between Vyt and the Roc owner, revealed to have been caused by the latter. It slowly took shape while the catboy was still trying to minimize the distance, eventually making its own life. It was a physical copy of Vyt, wielding a katana that it immediately swung upon the real one.
Vyt did not dodge the attack, nor did he even use his focused energy to build up a wall. The blade made a solid hit, slashing its way through the same shoulder Shade wounded before. It went about an inch deep before stopping. The catboy grimaced a bit by the sharp pain, but did not take a step back. He reached out towards his copy using his left arm and made contact with it using the built-up energy on its hand.
The copy instantly disintegrated, leaving a bloody Vyt in front of the Roc owner. Vyt was still trembling from the pain, but a dark smirk appeared on his face.
"Your fatal mistake will be not trying to kill me in one shot."
Vyt grasped the wound with his right hand. The energy on it started to turn crimson red the moment it touched the blood that quickly flowed around his shoulder. The air became noisy with the sound of electricity coming from it; previously it was void of noise.
Vyt resumed his chase towards the Roc owner, albeit only having to walk a few meters towards her. His slow but firm stroll was becoming ominous to everyone around.

((Merpo's))
Kassandra's totally-not-lethal shoulder wound had left her gasping and clutching her arm and leaning against the door gracefully so Hunty got a little more time to pay attention to her surroundings. She most definitely didn't like what she was seeing.
"Rider! Zylaa! You... um. Nasue! Bloody blazing hellhounds, what are you doing?"
"I believe this already does count as breaking and entering," Bloody Mary hissed, still perched on her shoulder and still looking like a murderous toy ball.
"Breaking and entering and being idiots, that's what it is." The captain fidgeted on spot. She couldn't get into the mansion because there was an elf-Sue standing at the doorway with death in her eyes and there were her crewmates, running in one after another when they had no clue what might be hiding in that mansion, except this one clue that hinted at the Underdeep. Crap on a cracker, had she taught them nothing?
"Bloody Mary!"
"Yah?"
"Get in there. Now. Stop them. I don't care about Merpo, we'll find another way, but don't let any of my crew get into the Underdeep! You hear?" The meepit was already rocketing up the staircase and past Kassandra during those last words. "Don't let them get into the Underdeep!"
She huffed, shooting a glare at the people still present.
"And the next person attempting to go in there might as well not bother coming back because if you do, you'll be facing me and I swear to gods, I can be worse than anything you might ever encounter in there," she snarled, then took a deep breath, feeling a little better. "Are we clear? Good."
"Um...hi. Do any of you know the owner?"
Hunty spun around, looking just about ready to gut the first person to come near her. Then she recognized Amneiger - if in a kind of passing, oh-it's-that-Fleet-guy way - and relaxed visibly.
"The owner may or may not be tied up having tea with cosmic horrors in the basement right about now," she said and turned around again in order to not let the Sue get behind her back. "And I'm currently busy trying to kill the maid. Care to help?"
***
Bloody Mary skidded across the floor. Too much running for this meepit for one day. Wonder how old I might be by now? Maybe I should start thinking about my heart.
He had little clue about where the relevant areas were but he had the scent-trail of the crewmembers to follow, and that's what he followed. Hop, hop, hop, skiiiiiidddd, hop hophophop, skiiiidddd, staircase, hop hop hop, bounce, owie.
Yeah, this was the Underdeep, alright, tugging at his brain again. Why did the non-meepits always insist on running towards the danger instead of away from it?
"Don't go in there!"
((Yeegh, that was more exclamation marks in one post than I used in the entire GW2. I feel unclean >3>))

((Merpo's Mansion))
The Commander kept an eye on his wrist computer while he ran, trying to pinpoint a location directly on top of the signal. As he zigzagged through the hallways, the bike he held in his right hand inadvertently knocked over lamps, dressers, pottery, and various other furniture items. He tried his best not to bust through segments of wall, lest he cause the entire mansion to collapse in on itself.
Finally, he reached a room that resembled some sort of spacious lounge room. After double checking his readings, he determined that the Underdeep signals were originating in a basement area directly underneath him.
With that in mind, The Commander leaped into the air and raised his bike over his head while forcing the machine to accelerate. He then swung the entire thing downwards and drove the front tire straight into the wooden floor. There entire mansion rumbled and every light started flickering on and off from the force of the impact.
Like a chainsaw, he proceeded to dig into the floorboards with the front tire of the bike. Smoke, steam, and broken pieces of wood scattered in all directions, which completely obscured his immediate surroundings. Within seconds, the floor caved in completely, sending The Commander straight down into the basement, along with several lounge chairs, a coffee table, and various other odds and ends.
The Commander wiped the dust from his goggles, waiting for all of the smoke to clear. He wondered if anyone else was down here.

[glow=red,2,300]Merpo's Lab[/glow]
Rider didn't need a Meepit to tell her not to go into the thing that had put a crossbow bolt through her chest earlier that same day. She stood in front of the doorway, glaring at the darkness as though that would puncture it.
So this was Merpo's lab. Everything looked so... so much like organized chaos. So much like the man himself.
Rider wandered over to what looked to be a computer terminal. Numbers and figures, shadows and shapes... Fears. Was she seeing what Merpo was seeing?
Books lined the shelves. Notebooks littered the desk. Pieces of metal and wire were scattered on a table along with computer chips and things that Rider was completely unfamiliar with. Under these things lay the blueprints for Merpo's suit. Rider dusted a few of the nuts and bolts off of the paper. All Greek to her. She went over to the bookshelf.
The Underdeep, the Mind and the Links Between Worlds. What a mouthful of a title. By Lexandr. Rider paused. Where had she heard that name before?
She opened the book.
While it is true that the Underdeep exists as a link between worlds, it is also a powerful weapon against the sentient mind. There are those who believe that as a mage, indeed, the most powerful mage of my people, I am immune to the effects of the Underdeep. The contrary is true. Because of this, I do not know how much more time I have.
Then something made the ceiling shake like a leaf. Rider was barely able to shove the book in her bag (adding to the petty thievery) and get out of the way before the ceiling collapsed, bringing with it a heavily-cloaked man with that looked to be pieces of a motorbike.
Rider drew her sword. "Who are you? Are you with Merpo?"

((Merpo's Mansion - Basement Lab))
As the smoke cleared, The Commander noticed that he was in some kind of undeground laboratory. Whether or not it was well-kept, he couldn't tell, seeing as how he literally dropped in on things... and how a pirate woman was now standing in front of him with a freshly drawn sword.
"Who are you? Are you with Merpo?"
Merpo. That was the name he had forgotten. So this was the laboratory of the exiled scientist...
For a split second, The Commander wondered if he should even speak to the girl. His voice might give away his identity. With little time to think, though, he decided to take the chance.
"I am Strife..." he proclaimed, politically correcting his name for the first time. "...and I will hunt down Merpo myself."

((Merpo's Unexpectedly Large Manor, Which I'm Sure We Can Find A Reasonable Explanation For: Basement))
Fortunately the large crash behind her made Zylaa pause and realize that she was about to do something incredibly stupid. Oh, and Bloody Mary shouting "Don't go in there!"
And so, anti-climactically, she turned away from the Underdeep and raced back towards Rider, hoping like heck that Rider hadn't been hurt.
Rider had not been hurt. But there was a man... Zylaa could only assume that he was from Spacefleet, and he looked vaguely familiar...
"I am Strife, and I will hunt down Merpo myself," he intoned.
Zylaa took in the motorbike, the debris of the ceiling, and the very large weapon he was holding. The name, too, rang a bell, the sort of bell that rings at midnight in graveyards.
"Be my guest!" she said, stepping out of the way and bowing grandly, indicating the Underdeep.
I should probably tell Hunty about this, she said. Actually... her thoughts turned to how she had ran away from her Captain in the middle of a major battle with a recurring villain. It's not like I would be any help against a Sue, Zylaa thought-- but then realized that hey, maybe that was just the Sue talking. Maybe.
And maybe if she helped, and delivered vital news, Hunty wouldn't kill her! That was always good!
Zylaa bounded back towards the entryway, where Hunty and Kassandra were still both happily alive, and now another Fleeter-- Amnei, she thought his name was-- was hovering on the edges.
"Captain, someone called Strife just volunteered to go after Merpo. I think he's with the fleet," she said, since Hunty didn't seem to be locked in combat at the moment, and then, turning to Amnei. "That name sound familiar?"

Merpo's Lab
Somehow the coati found her way to the entrance to the lab, although she'd barely had time to enter before a familiar blue furball (one of the ones smaller than her) rushed past her and told the others not to go into the Underdeep.
The... Underdeep?! Well, that explained a few things, like why going down there would be a really bad idea. It hadn't explained why Nasue's headache had somehow become even worse than it had been close to the entrance. She gritted her teeth, trying to ignore the strange flashes of colour that would briefly appear in her vision, or the ringing noise in her ears--
And then, just when she hoped that the headache wouldn't get any worse, it did. Nasue fell and landed on her side, thrashing around wildly as she began to lose consciousness.

Battleground outside TT Hospital
The bird dove behind the hospital, conveniently out of sight. Now Kwoi was stuck with a beautiful little conundrum - chase after the other shapeshifter, or stay?
Can't even grow a second head, she grumbled internally. Takes too long. And she couldn't afford to get reckless, either; shapeshifter battles were about strategy, quick thinking and staying on your toes, more so than most kinds of battles.
Kwoi almost ran over to a large piece of debris. Grabbing it in her jaw, she half-carried, half-dragged it over to the hospital, and left it in front of the front doors. There. That should buy some time. And with that, she began stalking around the hospital, steadily approaching the back of it.

Gil pulls out some sheets from the storage and runs over to the chopper. "I have some sheets we can use to bandage him up. The rest of the stuff we need should be in the kit. I suggest someone, not me, fix him up. I'm good with machines, not people... My last assistant still walks kind of funny from the last time I tried to fix him up." He thinks for a few moments. "On the bright side, he became the first man with a steam powered prosthetic leg! Hopefully your friend won't need one."
That's about the time Gil notices that there is a new person among them... And he was a blue star... "When did a blue star show up? And... You guys have stars that live among you?" He remains silent for a few moments. "This really isn't like home, but that is really cool."

<<Fields STILL>>
Draco and company continue to run. "We should be making it there any moment now I hope..."
"Is it me, or does it seem like we've been running for a long time, and getting no where?"
Draco stops, forcing the others to stop as well. He looks around and notices the couple of trees around them, and a few clouds in the sky. "We're moving. It's just taking to long. Grab onto me."
The two NNPCS' look at each other then each grab hold of Draco's shoulders. Slowly he becomes pitch black, followed by the others. The group sink into the ground like a puddle, and merge into the closest shadow. In seconds the puddle seems to leap to each shadow as it speeds across the field, only moving faster the growing amount of trees and shadows.

Ninja Dojo
Jasor had been following when the first attack by Sev came. Stopping to watch the battle, he ducked to the side when the firebird threw more fire at the group. In the process however, a small bit of flame got caught on his clothing. Using his hand to smother it, he watched as Kiddo grabbed the bird...and then became consumed.
Panting, he moved to grab the fallen pendant and the spear, before dragging himself to stand beside the others. When Ikkin approached, he let his gaurd down momentarilly. After a few moments of listening, he turned towards PFA as she finished.
"I-I don't know... but... Kiddo..."
Blinking, he turned to expand upon Kovaran's story. "Sev tried to roast Kiddo for one reason or another. Well twice anyways. After spearing him didn't work she tried to grab onto him, for reason's we're not too sure of.And then Sev exploded and Kiddo was gone," he summarised, pushing a strand of hair from his face.

"Mai-guh...wuh?" The maid? What kind of maid wandered around with a sword and looked like that?
A heroic maid who is defending her mentor from the evil pirate captain and whom you shall now aid as the person who suddenly showed up to catch the evil pirate captain in her evil!
Wait, what? He didn't usually think like this.
A heroic maid who is defending her mentor from the evil pir-
And evil pirate captain? Amneiger had a lot of faith in the general competence of the other people he knew in Spacefleet, and he was reasonably certain that Fraze wouldn't choose to get into a relationship with an evil pirate captain. A pirate captain maybe, but certainly not an evil one.

At this point, one of the pirates came back and mentioned that someone named Strife from Spacefleet was in the mansion.
"Commander Strife!?" Amneiger pushed through the doorway, followed the noises and dust down into what seemed like some sort of basement laboratory, and nearly tripped over a small blue creature that seemed to be convulsing. Crashed Merc Choppa but Nova doesn't know about it and a lot of people have been doing these ridiculously long titles and Nova wanted to do one too so this is it and hey whaddya know this actually fun and I wonder if this breaks the world record for the longest run on sentence ever I think this will win because it seems to be very long and okay ill shut up. ..Shoot I just ended with a period and that means this isnt a run on sentence anymore!
"Uhh... well, right now you're by the forest..." he paused."Who are you to ask?"
"I uh-" Nova said, caught off guard by the sudden demanding question. "I'm really not sure where I am right now, other then right next to a forest. I woke up there in the forest and I remember something about an earthquake, and something black and tentacly." If he was going to get any help at all, he better not mention anything about his guild. "I'm really sorry to come at a bad time like this.. it looks like you've been through a lot, judging from the exploded building back there and.. this chopper here."
"When did a blue star show up? And... You guys have stars that live among you?" He remains silent for a few moments. "This really isn't like home, but that is really cool."
"Who me?" he suddenly realized that if there was any dumb question to ask, that was probably it. Was there really any other blue star around? "Err.. thank you. Where do you come from?"
