DANNOUNCEMENT!
This is an important one guys, so pay attention! XD
As you guys have gone nuts with the healing and two teams have already managed to more than double your starting karma (which is insane, guys, really @_@), Team Coordinator has decided to set up a maximum karma cap so that the game can actually be focused more on attacking each other than just stockpiling karma forever and ever. XD
From here on out, the maximum amount of karma that a team is allowed to have will be +/- 1000.
This will be strictly enforced and we will manually edit karma counts that exceed this amount, so don't try to sneak one past us. XD
To be fair to all teams no matter how many karma holders they have, the caps will apply to each team member in the following:
5 Karma holders: 200 Karma per person 4 Karma holders: 250 Karma per person 3 Karma holders: 400/400/200 (we like even numbers, and 333/333/334 is confusing XD) 2 Karma holders: 500 Karma per person 1 Karma holder: 1000 Karma
So, currently Team Zombie Hunters' karma holders will each be allowed a maximum of 200 per person. Team Ghostbusters' karma holders will each be allowed a maximum of 250 per person. Team Zombies will be allowed two karma holders with 400 karma, and one karma holder with 200 karma. And lastly, Team Phantoms will continue as usual, as they have one karma holder. XD
If a karma holder exceeds the cap, their karma will be manually edited by a coordinator down to the maximum, and the karma points people spent healing them over the cap will be wasted. So it is in your best interest to pay attention to the maximum amounts allowed! We will be checking karma counts as often as possible, but remember we are people with real lives, so please bear with us if there's a moment or two when someone has exceeded the maximum.
If a team member is currently exceeding the max cap for the amount of karma holders they have, the "overflow" karma will be transferred to another karma holder who is currently under the max.
The two teams that have already exceeded 1000 karma -- Zombies and Zombie Hunters -- will be lowered to this maximum cap and be given a one-time "achievement" equivalent to the amount above 1000 they already have. This will be applied automatically to that team as soon as they are below 1000 equivalent to their achievement amount. So for example, Team Zombies is as of this writing at 1020 total karma. They will be granted a 20 point achievement to be applied as soon as their total team karma has at most 980 karma. This is the best way we could be fair to all teams, as we did not want to shortchange those teams who were over 1000 karma as they gained it fair and square.
If a team gains an achievement that would put them over the maximum cap, they will be allowed to hold onto that achievement until the full reward can be applied without putting them over 1000 karma.
We apologize for the confusion this may cause, but we honestly did not think that you guys would so quickly explode in karma. XD This is the best solution we could come up with that keep the game at a relatively short length and encourage some attacking rather than healing. C: If you have any questions or confusions, please do not hesitate to ask here or PM Ginz, Killix, or myself. ^_^ Thanks!

Tomb many puns for you, Lupehunter? *grins* About the most recent announcement... yes. xD Oh gods yes. Of course this means that our team will probably have to fight even harder now that there'll be more attacking going on... but at least it's something. *does not really want to be playing Karmageddon for the rest of the year*

It needed to be done. Things were getting extremely boring. Everyone was just healing, and there was only a little bit of attacking going on. It was really frustrating to see a team being attacked, then a complete stop of attacks to see the attackers heal themselves, and the attackees heal themselves, then the attacks start again, and it just repeated. There was just a endless loop!

*raises paw* I'm confused ...
If a team starts with 5 Karma holders, they each get a max of 200, right, but do they get a max of 250 if one Karma holder is eliminated? That seems to be what you're indicating by saying the Ghostbusters' get 250 each? But that could get tricky, as a single Karma holder can have a max of 1000, which means that, as each team member gets eliminated, they're allowed more, and this puts bigger teams at a disadvantage. Lemme show you.
Phantoms - started with 2 Max of 500 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 1000 = 2000 Total possible Karma = 2000
Zombies - started with 3 Max of 400/400/200 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 500 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 1000 = 3000 Totol possible Karma = 3000
Ghostbusters & Zombie Hunters - started with 5 Max of 200 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 250 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 400/400/200 = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 500 each = 1000 Member eliminated, max of 1000 = 1000 Total possible Karma = 5000
It takes the Zombie Hunters and Ghostbusters 3000 more exalts to read their maximum, making it easier for, say, the Zombies to heal up completely and then focus on attacking someone else. See what I mean? So my question is, is the Karma cap member dependent based on the starting Karma holders, or the current Karma holders?
