I don't really have high hopes for this one. They've been getting less interesting as they go, but it does have a chance to wow me. xD

Man, I loved the first Ice Age movie, but I've never managed to watch the sequels (not necessarily for lack of trying, but I turned off Ice Age 2 halfway through because it was making some awkward jokes in front of a not-quite-appropriate audience).
But hopefully a more informative trailer will come out soon, I would like to see what it's about (I mean, if Diego's in it, I have to at least consider watching it =P)

Unfortunately, the Dreamworks model never seems to be as good as the Disney-Pixar model. But Pixar also produces less movies, but more hits. I just feel that sequels produced under the Dreamworks model get less entertaining and less interesting. Maybe they drag them out too long.
Pixar's only series was Toy Story and all of them were hits. Finding Nemo, Cars, the Incredibles, they all seem to be great stories. Maybe because all their movies have some moral at the end.
Dreamworks did well with with Shrek. Shark Tale was alright. Madagascar was eh. Kung Fu Panda did make me laugh. Their sequels disappoint me a bit.
Although Blue Sky made Ice Age, they still follow the Dreamworks model of overrunning a series.
Sorry if I sound like an amateur movie critic xD.

Ice Age is Blue Sky Studios, not Dreamworks. C;

As I stand corrected still, Ice Age is still following the Dreamworks model and it just seems to start good and get worse. A cash cow eventually runs out of cash to milk.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Ice Age movies are getting worse as time goes on. I mean, I loved the first one. I'd put it on my list of favorite movies, no doubt. The second one was good too--not as great as the first one, though. I wasn't particularly fond of the third--who was that buck-toothed... thing that they met? That was... slightly insane? I felt as though it wasn't necessary.
I'm hoping for four to go back to the trio of Manny, Sid, and Diego--Ellie and the possums should stay too, because I totally love the possums--without all the random characters.

I love you Scratch, forever and ever more! <3 His name's Scrat, not Scratch. X3 Anyway, I was tired of the Ice Age movies at movie 2. (Ugh Queen Latifah as Ellie) Ice Age 3 was a teeny bit better because it didn't have as much of Ellie, but it wasn't exactly great. I'm not entirely surprised Blue Sky is going for a 4th, though. Robots and Horton Hears a Who were their only other films, so they seem like they're alternating new films with Ice Age sequels, probably to stay in the safety of a series they know is successful. Their other non-Ice Age film, Rio, is coming out later this year. And I agree with Geo that Blue Sky is more akin to Dreamworks than Disney/Pixar in their movie-making style. They simply adore stuffing as many big-name actors as they possibly can into a movie, despite those actors' lack of quality voice acting (Ray Romano and Queen Latifah as mammoths, Jim Carrey as Horton, Robin Williams as that red robot, George Lopez as the toucan in Rio, and on and on and on). I can't stand that about their movies. DX But anyway, since this movie is about "continental drift," it'll be about Manny & his friends being separated from Ellie and their baby mammoth when the continents split apart.

OMG! It's Scrat? That's what I get for not paying attention to words on my playstation 2 game O_e *skips speech pressing X* I loved all the movies so far, the second is the best in my opinion! <3 I laugh so much at it! I have to admit the third one could be better, I think Scrat's love affair with....with...the female squirrel saved the movie! XD

Ehhhhhhh, can't say I'm too excited about this I saw the first two and liked 'em, but I skipped the third. Seems the only reliably good animation companies these days are Pixar and kinda sorta Disney, especially after they got back on track with Princess and the Frog and Tangled. Blue Sky... They're alright, I guess. Dramworks.... Ehhhhhhhh, sometimes they make a good movie like Kung Fu Panda or a GREAT one like How To Train Your Dragon, but most of the time... Ehhhhhhhh. Robin Williams as that red robot Did I hear Robin Williams? This thread needed a little more BAKLAVAAAAAAAAAAAA

Okay, I did laugh at the part with the acorn vs. female squirrel part. xD However, I think that one movie was enough for this plotline, and it shouldn't be continued for number four.
